  • Patent number: 7302902
Abstract: An inflatable mooring station is adapted for use with a fixed or floating platform extending over a body of water. The mooring station is attached to the platform, and designed for holding a water craft in a generally stationary position relative to the platform. The mooring station includes a buoyant, inflatable body and at least one line tie located on the inflatable body. An anchor line is attached at one end to the line tie and at its opposite end to the platform to secure the inflatable body to the platform.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7251256
Abstract: A method and structure for the distribution and utilization of synchronization within an asynchronous network is described herein. Synchronization is distributed through an asynchronous network via a synchronization symbol periodically inserted on the MAC layer. The priority of this symbol ensures that this symbol is inserted in the MAC layer data stream ahead of all other types of symbols. The insertion of the synchronization symbol in the middle of an ongoing data frame is supported. In addition, a method for synchronization symbol distribution throughout an asynchronous network is presented, along with a method for switching to a new synchronization path (in the event of loss of original synchronization path) based on minimum number of hops from the synchronization source.

  • Patent number: 6914073
Abstract: The invention concerns a composition containing a high level of Vitamin E in encapsulated form, preferably as beadlets or spray dried, and a high level of silicates. The composition is compressible into tablets or caplets that do not leach out Vitamin E into the tablet matrix during compression and/or storage. The composition preferably contains vitamins and minerals in doses optimized for cardiovascular health.

  • Patent number: 6647428
Abstract: An architecture for transport of multiple services in connectionless packet-based networks is described herein, along with the packet format used for data transport in this architecture. The architecture supports transport of both connectionless packetized data and framed data from synchronous leased lines. The architecture supports transparent packetization of incoming DS1 data. The architecture works for mesh architectures but is optimized for OSI Layer 1 (crossconnect) and Layer 2 (Virtual LAN, or VLAN) services and for ring topologies, since for these services in a ring no path setup is required using a label distribution protocol. In addition, it simultaneously supports OSI Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 services.

  • Patent number: 5376363
Abstract: The invention provides stable, substantially anhydrous, transparent, gelled cosmetic compositions useful for the preparation of deodorant and antiperspirant sticks which are substantially free of lower, aliphatic, monohydroxy alcohols. The compositions contain dibenzylidene monosorbitol acetal as a gelling agent and are stabilized by the presence of an inorganic base.
