Abstract: A method helps people sharing common passions or interests to collaborate and experience a Trek together. This method is able to be run on a website or in application software for a handheld device. It first asks a user to set up an account, which is one of a few different levels of accounts and a type of account can be converted to another type of account. A user can set up a calendar for a future Trek. Moreover, this method can conduct a search for a Trek or a potential companion, as well as facilitate communication between Trek matches. After a Trek has been made, one can share a Trek experience and review the Trek and his or her companion. Furthermore, this method is able to provide customized advertisements or to be integrated with a travel agency or social media.
