  • Patent number: 4375247
Abstract: A self-aligning mounting structure (52) for preventing flaking of, for example, the uprights (16) on a lift truck includes a crowned spring (94) positioned between an axle shaft (76) and a bearing assembly (82) of a roller (22) to allow the roller (22) to maintain full face contact with the uprights (16). The crowned spring (94) additionally acts as a shock absorber to reduce the effect of impact loading. A snubber spring ring (106) can be positioned adjacent the crowned spring (94) to stiffen said crowned spring (94) and further reduce the effect of impact loading. With two or more mounting structures (52), crowned spring (94) allows a load sharing among the rollers (22).

  • Patent number: 4172486
Abstract: A track assembly for a vehicle has a plurality of grousered track shoes and a cleaning member extending between at least two of the shoes. The member moves relative to the track shoes as the track assembly deflects and avoids the packing of dirt and material between the grousers of the track shoes.

  • Patent number: T981004
Abstract: a resiliently mounted wheel assembly has a tread ring, an annular member, a plurality of bearing elements for rotatably mounting the tread ring on the annular member, an elastomeric ring member resiliently supporting the annular member, and an arbor mount supporting the elastomeric ring member and being of a construction sufficient for movement of the annular member between two positions spaced a preselected axial distance apart and allowing the tread ring to self-alignably engage a surface.
