Abstract: Methods and systems for managing and/or processing a blockchain to maintain data security for confidential and/or personal data are provided. According to certain aspects, the disclosed data security techniques may enable access sharing functionality utilizing the blockchain. The data security techniques disclosed herein also enable the use of smart contracts to transfer funds associated with payment obligations. A node may receive a transaction indicative of a settlement condition of a smart contract being satisfied. Accordingly, the transaction may be compiled into a block of a blockchain and routed to the smart contract. The smart contract may direct a node to transfer funds in accordance with the payment obligations.

Abstract: A receptacle comprising a body including an opening having a door hingedly mounted therein for movement between a normal and substantially vertical orientation and a substantially horizontal orientation, a drive assembly having a hub for taking up and letting out the cord for moving the door between the substantially vertical orientation and the substantially horizontal orientation, and an actuator device for actuating the drive assembly, the hub being spaced apart from said hinge proximate an optimum position for minimizing the amount of force necessary for the drive assembly to move the door.

Abstract: A canopy support for supporting a canopy above a bed or other desired area includes at least one support member including an elongated post positionable in an upright condition adjacent the bed or desired area and a base or other fastening members for maintaining the elongated post in an upright condition. Elongated support structure from which a canopy is to be supported is fixedly joined at one end to the support member so as to extend over the bed so that the elongated support structure is maintained in a free-standing condition above the bed or desired area and so that when the canopy is supported by the elongated support structure, the canopy overhangs the bed or desired area.
