  • Publication number: 20250319668
Abstract: A material-joining device is provided for joining a trailing end of a first material sheet to a leading end of a new supply of material sheeting. The joining device comprises a main body and a gate coupled to the main body. A plurality of rods are moveably held within the main body along with at least one actuator coupled to the plurality of rods. The actuators can move the rods from a retracted position to an extended position. The gate includes a plurality of chambers aligned with the rods. The chambers accommodate a portion of the rods when in the extended position. Using the material-joining device, at least portions of the first material and the new supply of material fit within the space between the main body and the gate. When the at least one actuator moves the rods to the extended position, the separate material sheets are joined together.

  • Patent number: 11722790
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system for inspecting an object comprises a first camera for inspecting a first surface of the object, and a second camera for inspecting a second surface of the object. The object may be placed upon a support structure during simultaneous inspection by the first camera and the second camera. At least one roller is arranged to selectively engage the object when the object is placed upon the support structure, wherein the at least one roller is adapted for circumferential rotation relative to the support structure. Rotation of the at least one roller causes a corresponding circumferential rotation of the object relative to the first and second cameras.

  • Patent number: 7096150
Abstract: A method and apparatus 100 for correcting tire nonuniformity is disclosed. The invention is particularly suited for correcting tread runout and connicity problems for large off-road tires. Multiple measurements are taken in multiple circumferentially spaced planes which enable data to be fed into a computer which predicts an optimal profile to correct tire non-uniformities using preset rules. A virtual template directs correction of the tire profile.
