  • Patent number: 10627525
Abstract: A method of triggering an action includes: determining that a mobile device is under water by: determining that an amplitude of a satellite positioning system (SPS) signal, or a wireless communication signal, or a combination thereof, received by the mobile device is below a threshold amplitude; or comparing data from a motion sensor of the mobile device with motion sensor data characteristic of entering water; or a combination thereof; determining that the mobile device has an action-inducing relationship to water; and taking the action in response to determining that the mobile device has the action-inducing relationship to water.

  • Publication number: 20090100362
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for allowing an advertiser or other user to create high-end advertisements via a plurality of software-based, predefined templates. The templates may be customized by a user to configure the appearance, flow, interactivity and other features of an advertisement. The present system further provides a user interface allowing a user to interact with and configure the templates, thus allowing the user to control the appearance, flow, interactivity, transitions, timers, etc. of the advertisement. In addition to controlling these parameters, the templates also allow a user to associate one or more content files, or assets, with an advertisement. Thus, an advertiser may easily incorporate a video or other content into an advertisement.

  • Patent number: 5998895
Abstract: An improved drive arrangement for a starter motor includes a rubber cushion between a drive plate and a pinion gear. The rubber cushion has seals at inner and outer locations which seal against the drive plate. In this way, the area between the drive plate and the rubber cushion is sealed to prevent contaminants from reaching the area and harming the connection between the drive plate and cushion.

  • Patent number: 4927203
Abstract: An improved sealing and attachment means between a rubber boot (20) for a powdered door lock (4) and its actuator rod (10), which allows, not only radial, linear movement of the rod with respect to its power motor, but also rotational movement of the rod within its attachment to the boot, allowing such rotation without significantly distorting the boot. Two, axially spaced grooves (13 & 14) are located on the exterior surface of the rod at the area (15) to which the boot is to be attached, while two longitudinally spaced annular beads (22 & 23) are provided on the interior surface of the end portion (21) of the boot, which beads will be located between, but not in, the grooves. Two ring clips (16 & 17), serving as radially extended retainers, are placed in the rod grooves, fixedly positioning the attachment end portion of the boot longitudinally between the grooves. A gap (18) allows the ring clip to be laterally clipped onto its respective groove.
