  • Patent number: 12265267
Abstract: Systems and methods for angle polishing of the end faces of a plurality of optical connectors are provided. Systems are provided that include a connector defining a longitudinal axis, and at least two ferrules mounted with respect to the connector and arranged in a side-by-side orientation. The end faces of the connectors are movable relative to the connector and such movement facilitates lateral orientation of the angle polished end faces of the ferrules relative to the connector when in the mating position. Various mechanisms and methods for facilitating movement of the ferrules relative to the connector are disclosed to achieve the desired lateral polish orientation of the ferrule end faces.

  • Patent number: 12267314
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include a method and associated network device. The method includes authenticating an identity of a user of a client device after the client device is associated with an access network provider. Authenticating the identity of the user comprises receiving, from an identity provider, a credential associated with the identity, and receiving, from the identity provider, information identifying a network-based service to be applied to network traffic with the client device. The method further includes establishing, using the credential and the received information, a secure connection between the access network provider and a service provider that is capable of providing the network-based service. The method further includes receiving network traffic from the service provider. Packets of the network traffic include an assurance value that enables the client device to determine that the network-based service is being provided by the service provider.

  • Patent number: 12266496
Abstract: A hydraulic multi-pole actuation system opens all poles of a circuit interrupter simultaneously. The system utilizes Thomson coil arrangements with a wide piston attached to the conductive member of each arrangement. A narrow piston is attached to the movable conductor of each pole assembly in the circuit interrupter. The wide and narrow pistons are contained within a hydraulic tank. Activating the Thomson coils causes the wide pistons to displace the hydraulic fluid, and the displaced fluid pushes against the narrow pistons to cause the movable conductors to open the line connections in their respective pole assemblies. The wide pistons have a greater collective surface area that interfaces with the hydraulic fluid than the narrow pistons do, enabling fewer Thomson coils arrangements to be used than there are poles in the circuit interrupter, and enabling movement of the wide pistons to be amplified during translation into movement of the narrow pistons.

  • Patent number: 12267165
Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for interleaving coded bits. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may generate a plurality of polar encoded bits using polar encoding. The WTRU may divide the plurality of polar encoded bits into sub-blocks of equal size in a sequential manner. The WTRU may apply sub-block wise interleaving to the sub-blocks using an interleaver pattern. The sub-blocks associated with a subset of the sub-blocks may be interleaved, and sub-blocks associated with another subset of the sub-blocks may not be interleaved. The sub-block wise interleaving may include applying interleaving across the sub-blocks without interleaving bits associated with each of the sub-blocks. The WTRU may concatenate bits from each of the interleaved sub-blocks to generate interleaved bits, and store the interleaved bits associated with the interleaved sub-blocks in a circular buffer. The WTRU may select a plurality of bits for transmission from the interleaved bits.

  • Patent number: 12266123
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for monitoring tailgating when a vehicle follows another vehicle at an unsafe distance. A method for enhancing a Following Distance (FD) machine learning (ML) model is disclosed. The method includes providing a management user interface (UI) for configuring FD parameters, followed by receiving FD events. A UI for manual FD annotation and another for customer review of filtered FD events are also provided. Annotations and customer review information are collected to improve the training set for the FD ML model. The FD model is then trained with the new data and downloaded to a vehicle. Once installed, the FD model is utilized to detect FD events within the vehicle, thereby enhancing the vehicle's safety and performance in driving scenarios by improving the accuracy and reliability of FD event predictions or detections.

  • Patent number: 12263416
Abstract: An action toy employs a vacuum chamber and vacuum pressure to propel projectiles inward to collide with materials or objects or structures inside the sealed vacuum chamber. Users are entertained by observing high-speed demolition and wrecking action. Air-tight containment of the chamber is required to create a vacuum, ensuring user safety and mess-free operation while providing close-up viewing and video capture from outside the chamber. Users can experiment with a wide variety of high-speed collisions, watch the results in slow-motion replay, and share replay clips with others using a smartphone. The toy can be used to create art works by blasting materials onto a canvas.
