  • Publication number: 20220321039
Abstract: A method for preventing damage in a bearing of a generator of an electrical power system includes monitoring one or more electrical signals of a power conversion assembly of the electrical power system. The method also includes estimating an impedance path of common mode current from a terminal to ground using the operating parameter(s) of the power conversion assembly. Further, the method includes determining a one or more magnitudes and/or a one or more phase angles of the impedance path at different frequencies, such a switching frequency and/or harmonics. Moreover, the method includes determining whether the impedance path is indicative of degradation in at least one of bearing insulation or a ground brush of the generator based on a change in the one or more magnitudes and/or the one or more phase angles. In addition, the method includes implementing a control action when the impedance path is indicative of degradation in the bearing insulation and/or the ground brush of the generator.

  • Publication number: 20220318904
Abstract: A system and method for multimodal contribution and management of multi-domainal reference data is disclosed. A processor executes an application that utilizes distribution and lookup services on an authoritative data cache to confirm that a reference data record or attribute does not exist and creates a message compliant with a standardized information message (SIM) format; and inspects the contents of the SIM to determine the domain of the data and transmits the message to a corresponding domainal reference data system of record among a plurality of reference data systems within a federated reference data system. A receiving domain system acts as a system of record to one or more reference data domain classes related to the reference data; and initiates the processes of storing, versioning, and publication of the reference data for the domain of reference data for which the reference data system is being designated a system of record.

  • Publication number: 20220319594
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus related to spike current suppression in a memory array. In one approach, a memory device includes a memory array having a cross-point memory architecture. The memory array has access lines (e.g., word lines and/or bit lines) configured to access memory cells of the memory array. Each access line has left and right portions. Spike current suppression is implemented by charge screening structures. The charge screening structures are formed by laterally integrating insulating layers into selected interior regions of the left and/or right portions of the access line. The insulating layers vertically separate the access line into top and bottom conductive portions above and below the insulating layers. For memory cells located overlying or underlying the insulating layers, the resistance to each memory cell is increased because the cell is accessed using only the higher resistance path of the top or bottom conductive portion.

  • Publication number: 20220312721
Abstract: A pit cover for selectively covering a pit opening which provides access to an animal waste collection area. One or more of the edges may include a flange which a user may grip when lifting or moving the pit cover. The top side includes a plurality of raised ridges extending generally across its surface. The ridges help provide traction for a user walking on the pit cover. The longitudinal axis of one or more of the ridges may be set at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the front edge of the pit cover to allow water and other moisture to drain off of the top side. The pit cover may be made from any suitable material, including fiberglass. In embodiments where the pit cover is made from fiberglass, the ridges are part of the fiberglass mold which helps add strength by corrugation.
