  • Patent number: 9845698
Abstract: A belly band seal for use in a multi-stage turbomachine having plural rotor disks includes a seal strip positionable in a space between a pair of arms defined by opposing portions of adjoining rotors. The seal strip includes opposite edges for locating in respective slots in end faces of said pair of arms. The belly band seal further includes an anti-rotation structure disposed on a radially inner surface of the seal strip. The anti-rotation structure is configured as a cantilever having a pivoted end fixed to the radially inner surface and a free end comprising a radially inwardly extending engagement member for removably positioning in a radial recess in one of the arms. The cantilever is configured so as to urge the engagement member toward the radial recess by spring action. The radial recess is configured to constrain a tangential movement of the engagement member upon being positioned therein.

  • Patent number: 9845892
Abstract: A multiple action forced fluid evacuation system includes a reservoir for receiving a working fluid therein, and a shutoff valve provided in the reservoir. An outer rigid conduit and an inner flexible conduit are connected between the shutoff valve and a receiver. A processing module is provided for at least controlling pressurized gas between the outer conduit and the inner conduit, and is operatively connected to the outer conduit and the inner conduit. A nozzle has one end in fluid communication with a source of the working fluid, and an opposite end removably coupled to the receiver. The nozzle normally enables flow of the working fluid through the inner conduit to the reservoir when the nozzle is connected to the receiver until the working fluid in the reservoir activates the shutoff valve causing the nozzle to cease flow of the working fluid leaving a portion of the working fluid trapped in the receiver and the inner conduit.

  • Patent number: 9846985
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a multi-reel skill-based redemption game. An indication of a user desire to participate in the skill-based redemption game is received. The user's account balance is decreased, and simulated reels are spun. Adjustment arrows are displayed for a subset of the plurality of simulated reels. The player selects a simulated reel and a direction of adjustment for the simulated reel. If the player's adjustment creates a winning pattern, the user is rewarded with an increased account balance. The user may also be provided a bonus amount for achieving a number of consecutive wins.
