Abstract: A speaker system, comprising at least one subwoofer speaker, suspended at least 6 feet over a ground or floor, and having an acoustic emission directed toward the ground or floor, producing a uniform sound pattern at 20 Hz, substantially without constructive or destructive interference that leads to intensity variations over ±3 dB. The speaker may be relocated vertically with respect to the ground or floor, for example over a distance of about 1 meter. The relocation may occur during sound output. The subwoofer speaker may be provided in a monoblock speaker array, supported by a platform on a set of columns. The platform may also support a projection system for a light show, such as lasers, light emitting diodes, etc. The speakers or platform may produce acoustic waves during movement, and advantageously, these waves are synchronized or coordinated with the sound output.
