Abstract: A method for administering a benefits network includes receiving transaction information from a provider that includes information about a transaction between the provider and a member, executing a benefit algorithm configured to determine a benefit resulting from the transaction, transferring transaction information to the provider that includes information about the benefit resulting from the transaction, receiving the benefit from the provider, executing a recipient algorithm configured to allocate the benefit among one or more recipients using a hierarchy of members of the network, the hierarchy including an upper line for each member, the upper line of the member including other members of the network that are affiliated with the member and have higher priority in the network than the member, the recipients including the member that entered the transaction and other members in the upper line of the member, and dispersing the benefit among the recipients.
