    Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for stuffing sausages.According to the method a sausage mix is loaded into the cylinder of a stuffing horn which has a piston operating therein with its piston rod extending outside the horn from one end and being provided with means to force the piston through the cylinder whereby the sausage mix is extruded through a nozzle in an end cap closing the other end of the cylinder into a sausage casing along said nozzle. When the casing is filled it is removed from the nozzle and severed into appropriate lengths.
