Publication number: 20080020337Abstract: Traditional orthodontic treatment often involves the use of basic repositioning devices, such as braces, and the use of supplementary devices, components or accessories to achieve desired end results. Such components may be mounted on fixed, non-removable devices or they may be part of a removable appliance typically worn prior to the application of the fixed devices. As with traditional treatment, it may be desired to utilize similar components when repositioning teeth with removable elastic repositioning appliances. Due to the nature of elastic appliances, such components may take a variety of forms ranging from readily available traditional accessories to specially created devices. Thus, traditional components may be mounted on or embedded in an elastic appliance, or the appliance may be formed to provide similar components. Likewise, the appliance may be modified to provide additional features for specific orthodontic treatments.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2007Publication date: January 24, 2008Applicant: Align Technology, Inc.Inventors: Loc Phan, Muhammad Chishti, Ross Miller, H. Publication number: 20070225382Abstract: Synthesis gas is produced from a carbonaceous fuel, using a process in a gasification reactor. The carbonaceous fuel and an oxygen containing stream are supplied to a burner of a gasification reactor, wherein a CO2-containing transport gas is used to transport the solid carbonaceous fuel to the burner. The weight ratio of CO2 to the carbonaceous fuel is less than 0.5 on a dry basis. The carbonaceous fuel is partially oxidized in the gasification reactor, whereby a gaseous stream of synthesis gas is obtained. This synthesis gas can be further processed in a downstream process path to convert it into a hydrocarbon product. The downstream process path may contain a methanol-synthesis reactor to produce the hydrocarbon product in the form of methanol. The downstream process path may contain a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactor to produce one or more from a range of hydrocarbon products.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 12, 2006Publication date: September 27, 2007Inventors: Robert Van Den Berg, Johannes Margaretha Van Montfort, Jacobus Scheerman, Johannes Schilder

Patent number: 5580509Abstract: In a method for electrically contacting thin-film solar modules interconnected in integrated fashion, a number of solar cells forming a module are created by structuring a layer on a substrate to produce strip-shaped, side-by-side solar cells, and electrically conductive contact strips are laid over the electrode layers of the two outermost, individual solar cells. The conductive strips are held in place by a lamination using hot-melt adhesive foil at elevated pressure and temperature, in the same step wherein a backing is laminated with the solar module. If necessary, the contact strips can be attached by an electrically conductive paste or utilizing an ultrasonic welding process.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 1994Date of Patent: December 3, 1996Assignee: Siemens Solar GmbHInventors: Robert van den Berg, Hans-Juergen Bauer
