  • Patent number: 4704049
Abstract: The pipeline (1) installed in an underwater environment (2) is engaged in a series of guides (4) placed above the seabed (3). These guides (4) are spaced from each other along a substantially straight-line direction (D) from land (5) towards the open sea (6). These guides (4) are connected by cables (7) to the seabed (3) and suspended from floats (8) placed at a sufficient depth (p) to minimize storm effects. Use particularly for installing a pipeline for withdrawing cold water from the depths of the sea to feed a tidal-thermal power station.

  • Patent number: 4281611
Abstract: A system for mooring a ship or like floating vessel, in particular, an oil-tanker, to an off-shore column, and for transferring a fluid cargo such as gas, petroleum oil or the like, by means of at least one articulated arm carried by the vessel, wherein the improvement consists in that the arm supports at its upper end a connector device capable of being fixedly placed on a mouth-piece, provided on the head of the column, and that mooring apparatus is provided to allow the vessel, once the connector device is thus placed, to be moored through the device and to move around the latter so as to be placed in the wind's eye.

  • Patent number: 4222682
Abstract: A sea-bottom, off-shore exploitation platform comprising a column having an emerged portion and a base for said column, intended to be laid down and anchored on the sea bottom, wherein the improvement consists in that the base is designed in the form of a tank floating and supporting said column during transport, said tank being sunk at the exploitation place.

  • Patent number: 4152088
Abstract: Off-shore oil field production equipment with a production platform anchored on the ground of the drilling site, comprising a column pivotally connected through a universal cardan joint coupling to a base anchored to the sea bed in connection with a remote-located floating gas flare for burning gas extracted from the oil, wherein said gas flare is carried by a floating structure coming up into the wind while being connected to a swivel head of the column by means of a pivoted holder.

  • Patent number: 4127003
Abstract: The invention relates to oil-field production equipment. It consists particularly in using a production platform of the type articulated to a base, and which comprises a gas and oil separator while being combined with a flare located at a suitable distance from the axis of the platform, this flare being carried by a floating support turning into the wind, while being connected by at least one arm hinged to rotatable head of the platform. The invention comprises also different arrangements relative to the connection between a drilling platform and a storage and loading platform.

  • Patent number: 4111435
Abstract: A fluid-tight sealing device for elements which have a common axis are capable of angular displacement relative one to another, and which define an enclosed space comprises a sleeve arranged for co-axial disposition relative to said elements to be engaged endwise between support surfaces provided on the elements. The sleeve is formed by rigid rings having rings of elastomeric or resilient material interposed therebetween and when in position between the support surfaces the sleeve is axially stressed in compression and is so disposed that it permits angular displacement of the elements by relative angular movement of at least one end of the sleeve in relation to the support surface engaged thereby, by torsional elasticity of the sleeve, or by a combination of both angular movement and torsional elasticity.
