  • Patent number: 6501286
Abstract: An electrode array device for use with a conductive element to simulate a crevice that is subject to corrosive conditions. The device includes a non-conductive member and a plurality of electrodes. The non-conductive member has a face, with the member defining (i) an opening through the member, the opening passing through the face of the member, and (ii) a depression formed in the face and contiguous with at least a portion of the opening. The plurality of electrodes is embedded in the member, with each of the plurality of electrodes having a portion exposed from the member to the depression.

  • Patent number: 6053194
Abstract: Disclosed herein are closures that are formed via an injection molding process with a thin breakable web. When they are first placed in a fluid conduit and exposed to line pressure the web will break open so as to thereby create a duckbilled type check valve. Thus, the closure can provide a seal during long-term storage prior to use. However, once used it functions as a check valve.

  • Patent number: 4133448
Abstract: An overcap for engagement with the end of a cylindrical metal container, such as an aerosol container. The overcap has an enclosure portion and a circular lower edge portion for engaging the container. The lower edge portion is characterized by a radially inwardly extending annular ring at the lower edge which has an inner diameter less than the outer diameter of the snap bead which is formed in a dome of the container, a plurality of circumferentially spaced, crushable radial ribs extending outwardly from the annular ring sufficiently to interact with the container doubleseam when the annular ring is first snapped over the snap bead to "size" the overcap for engagement with the container, and a doubleseam-engaging flange extending radially outwardly from the enclosure and spaced above the annular ring in an axial direction by a distance about equal to the axial distance between the top of the doubleseam and the undercut which is formed in the container dome just below the snap bead.
