  • Publication number: 20170338659
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for dispatching maximum available capacity for photovoltaic (PV) power plants are described. For an embodiment, a PV panel assembly comprises a first PV panel configured to generate direct current (DC) power and an inverter molecule coupled to the first PV panel. The inverter molecule is configured to convert the DC power generated by the first PV panel into alternating current (AC) power. Moreover, the inverter molecule includes a monitoring device configured to monitor a condition of the first PV panel. The monitored condition of the first PV panel is converted into electronic data for generating or creating a first adaptive PV panel model for the first PV panel. Information derived from the first adaptive PV panel model can be communicated to a third party, such as an electric utility company or an Independent System Operator (ISO).

  • Publication number: 20170271912
Abstract: A dispatchable photovoltaic (PV) panel product that includes multiple types of voltage sources is described. The product can include a PV panel that includes PV cells, a battery, and a panel level panel mounted inverter coupled to the PV panel and the battery. Each of the battery and the PV panel are to generate direct current (DC) power. The panel level inverter is to convert the DC power into alternating current (AC) power and discharge the AC power to an electrical load. The panel level inverter can include a voltage source interface converter (VSIC) for charging or discharging the battery using a charge/discharge profile for the battery. The panel level inverter can also include a voltage source monitoring/protection system to (i) protect the battery from damage; and (ii) monitor at least one of a condition of the battery or a condition of the PV panel.

  • Patent number: 5009426
Abstract: A golf club guide which attaches to a club shaft and provides an abutment which continuously engages the user's trailing forearm during both the backswing and follow-through positions, in order to maintain operative alignment between the club and the user's trailing arm as the club is swung through said positions.

  • Patent number: 4878366
Abstract: A locking device for preventing rotation of a vehicle wheel and tire unit comprises a U-shaped clamp insertable through the openings between spoke-like portions of a conventional wheel so that the base of the clamp engages one side of the wheel and a pair of threaded clamp members project through the openings outwardly of the other wheel side. A wheel rotation blocking bar is mounted on the clamp members, is urged by fastening nuts into compressive contact with the tire at chordally spaced locations, and has ends projecting beyond the outer circumference of the tire. Tabs, threaded on the clamp members and interconnected by a padlock, prevent removal of the device from the wheel and tire unit.

  • Patent number: 4758000
Abstract: Practice apparatus for positioning a user in a golf stance and for guiding the user's body through a golf stroke. The apparatus includes a support for supporting an elevated crank arm assembly for pivotal movement about a golf stroke swing axis located by the support to pass through the upper body, neck and head of a user in a golf swing stance and substantially within the plane of symmetry of the user's upper body. The crank arm assembly has an offset portion spaced above the swing axis, and a pivot mounting is provided on the offset portion. A shoulder guide is mounted on the pivot mounting for pivotal movement relative to the offset portion about a shoulder guide pivot axis which intersects and is inclined to the swing axis. The shoulder guide extends beneath the offset portion for engagement with the shoulders of a user disposed in a golf swing stance.

  • Patent number: 4553930
Abstract: An apparatus for the heat treatment of a product includes a metallic heat transfer assembly for transmitting heat either directly to the product or to a mould containing the product. The heat transfer assembly comprises a plurality of separate parts which are joined together either permanently or in an operationally separable manner. Each part includes a gas distribution passageway, the passageways together defining a closed loop path for receiving and circulating around the heat transfer assembly hot permanent gas from a hot gas source. One or more heat transfer passageways formed in the heat transfer assembly itself, or between the heat transfer assembly and the mould, communicate with the closed loop path in the heat transfer assembly so as to receive hot gas therefrom and lead this gas to an exhaust outlet to the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 4460533
Abstract: An apparatus and method for the heat treatment of a product such as in the curing of rubber-like materials and the thermoforming of plastics materials. A metallic heat transfer member is provided for contacting the product to transmit heat thereto. In order to obtain a uniform temperature distribution over the heat transfer member/product interface, one or more gas distribution passageways receive hot gas from a hot gas source such as a gas burner and lead the hot gas to the heat transfer member. One or more heat transfer passageways contiguous with the heat transfer member communicate with the gas distribution passageway so as to receive hot gas from the latter passageway and lead same to an exhaust outlet.
