  • Patent number: 4289923
Abstract: The strain relief grommet has internally located intermittent clamping teeth and when the grommet is located around a cord set and then lodged in a notch in a frame of a motor, teeth pierce the outer jacket of the cord and engage the internal insulation wrappings around the lead wires. This prevents removal or loosening of the cord from its internal connection in the event the cord set is pulled from outside of the motor.
