  • Patent number: 11959350
Abstract: A release mechanism for a jarring tool is formed by a plurality of segmented release lugs. Each lug includes a plurality of axial spaced projections on an inner surface and a plurality of grooves on an outer surface. • Patent number: 11959348
Abstract: A cable head line cutter tool comprising an internal mandrel anchored to a line and releasably held in an initial position by a locking mechanism disposed within an outer housing of the cable head cutter tool. When a tensile load is applied to the line sufficient to overcome a mechanical resistance acting upon the locking mechanism, and maintained for a duration sufficient to overcome a hydraulic resistance acting upon the locking mechanism, the internal mandrel may become released from the locking mechanism and allowed to travel within the outer housing free of the locking mechanism. In embodiments, the cable head line cutter tool may comprise one or more such locking mechanisms acting independently or in coordination. If the tensile load applied to the line is sufficient to release the mandrel from each of the one or more locking mechanisms and maintained for sufficient duration, the mandrel may cause a line cutter device disposed within the cable head line cutter tool to cut the line.

  • Publication number: 20240109680
Abstract: A cleaner assembly for an apparatus for making pouch products includes a cleaner roller and a poker roller. The cleaner roller may counter rotate with a rotatable drum of the apparatus, in contact with an upper surface of a first elastic layer on the rotatable drum, and at a greater tangential speed than at least one surface of an outer circumferential surface of the rotatable drum or an upper surface of the first elastic layer. The poker roller includes projections that are each configured to extend into one or more divots of the rotatable drum. The poker roller may counter rotate with the rotatable drum and at a same tangential speed as the at least one surface such that the projections extend into and out of separate, respective divots of the rotatable drum based on the counter rotation of the poker roller and the rotatable drum.

  • Publication number: 20240068315
Abstract: A release device for a jarring tool includes a collet positioned between the mandrel of the jarring tool and a trigger sleeve. At least one end of the collet is in contact with a precompressed spring via a bushing. In order for the jarring tool to operate, a force greater than the precompressed force of the spring must be applied to the mandrel so that the collet can move in axial direction against the spring thereby releasing the mandrel.

  • Publication number: 20230358112
Abstract: A jarring tool includes a spring and a hydraulic piston cylinder arrangement for controlling the release of a mandrel to initiate a jarring force. The tool includes an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the minimum amount of an upward pulling force required to release the mandrel. The adjustment mechanism includes an axially adjustable trigger sleeve that cooperates with a dog clutch surrounding the mandrel.

  • Publication number: 20230212921
Abstract: A cable head line cutter tool comprising an internal mandrel anchored to a line and releasably held in an initial position by a pressure relief valve which may act in coordination with a locking mechanism disposed within an outer housing of the cable head cutter tool. When a tensile load is applied to the line sufficient to overcome an opening pressure of the pressure relief valve and a mechanical resistance acting upon the locking mechanism, and maintained for a duration sufficient to overcome a hydraulic resistance acting upon the locking mechanism, the internal mandrel may become released to travel within the outer housing. If the tensile load applied to the line is sufficient to open the pressure relief valve, release the mandrel from the locking mechanism, and maintained for sufficient duration, the mandrel may cause a line cutter device of the cable head line cutter tool to cut the line.
