  • Patent number: 11957577
Abstract: Embodiments of delivery systems, devices and methods for delivering a prosthetic heart valve device to a heart chamber for expanded implementation are disclosed. More specifically, methods, systems and devices are disclosed for delivering a self-expanding prosthetic mitral valve device to the left atrium, with no engagement of the left ventricle, the native mitral valve leaflets or the annular tissue downstream of the upper annular surface during delivery, and in some embodiments with no engagement of the ventricle, mitral valve leaflets and/or annular tissue located downstream of the upper annular surface by the delivered, positioned and expanded prosthetic mitral valve device.

  • Patent number: 5613364
Abstract: A compact replaceable temperature control module for use with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and a controller to control an operating temperature of an internal surface in a process chamber of the equipment. The control module includes a housing having a size which permits the housing to be placed in close proximity to the equipment. A circulatory system is carried by the housing and adapted to couple to the equipment for receiving a liquid from the equipment and returning the liquid to the equipment so as to create a closed loop system with the equipment for regulating the operating temperature of the internal surface in the process chamber. The circulatory system includes a thermal electric heat exchanger provided with a hollow core element having a temperature different than the unknown temperature and a pump for causing the liquid to flow through the hollow core element so as to cause the temperature of the liquid to more closely approximate the temperature of the hollow core element.

  • Patent number: 5450726
Abstract: A method for cooling air to a predetermined outflow temperature for use in an atmosphere having a controlled humidity. In the method, a stream of air having an unknown temperature and an unknown humidity content is supplied. The air is cooled to provide cooled air having a temperature at or below the predetermined outflow temperature. The cooled air is heated when necessary to provide outgoing air having a temperature approximately equal to the predetermined outflow temperature.

  • Patent number: 5154661
Abstract: Thermal electric liquid cooling system having a tank for containing the liquid. A cooling plate is secured to the tank and forms a part of the tank. The cooling plate is formed of a heat conductive material and has first and second surfaces with the first surface in contact with the liquid in the tank. A plurality of thermal electric modules are in contact with the second surface of the cooling plate. A cooling manifold is secured to the cooling plate and is in engagement with the thermal electric cooling devices and serves to sandwich the thermal electric cooling modules between the cooling plate and the cooling manifold. Means is provided for supplying a liquid coolant to the cooling manifold to withdraw heat from the cooling manifold.

  • Patent number: 5029445
Abstract: Thermal electric cooling system for a liquid bath having a thermal electric device with a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet. A motor driven pump having an inlet and an outlet is provided which has the outlet of the pump connected to the inlet of thermal electric device. A heat exchanger having an inlet and an outlet is provided which has the inlet connected to the outlet of the thermal electric device. Piping is provided which is adapted to connect the outlet of the heat exchanger to the liquid bath and the liquid bath to the inlet of the pump. Heating means is provided for supplying heat to the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 4266852
Abstract: A system for welding fiber optic waveguides together. The ends of the two fibers to be joined together are accurately, collinearly aligned in a vertical orientation and subjected to a controlled, diffuse arc to effect welding and thermal conditioning. A front-surfaced mirror mounted at a 45.degree. angle to the optical axis of a stereomicroscope mounted for viewing the junction of the ends provides two orthogonal views of the interface during the alignment operation.
