Publication number: 20240369395Abstract: A meter pit setter assembly that includes an expandable S-tube or U-tube. The expandable S-tube or U-tube includes a first arcuate or angled tube that has a first opening at a first end of the first arcuate tube and a second opening at a second end of the first arcuate tube. The second end of the first arcuate tube is connected to a telescoping tube member of an expansion coupling portion. A second arcuate or angled tube has a first opening at a first end of the second arcuate tube and a second opening at a second end of the second arcuate tube. The second end of the second arcuate tube is connected to a body member of the expansion coupling portion. The telescoping tube member of the expansion coupling portion is coupled to the body member of the expansion coupling portion. The body member of the expansion coupling portion is movable with respect to the telescoping tube member between an extended position and a retracted position to provide variable lengths of the expandable S-tube or U-tube.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2024Publication date: November 7, 2024Inventor: Robert W. Publication number: 20240271981Abstract: A meter box that illustratively includes a first coupling is provided. The first coupling is located adjacent the meter box. The first coupling includes a coupling body. The first coupling includes an extension assembly. The extension assembly includes a neck that is in fluid communication with the coupling body. The neck of the extension assembly is movable with respect to the coupling body and configured to selectively create a space. The extension assembly includes a collar, a portion of which is spaced apart from the neck with a slot located therebetween. A portion of the coupling body is located within the slot. The space is sufficient to allow a fluid meter to be installed or removed between the first coupling and the second coupling.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 15, 2023Publication date: August 15, 2024Inventor: Robert W. Huddleston

Publication number: 20240192042Abstract: Illustrative embodiments of a meter box and couplings, either separately or in combination, are provided. An illustrative embodiment provides a valve coupling that is disposed through a wall of the meter box such that a first portion of the valve coupling extends exterior of the meter box and a second portion of the valve coupling extends interior of the meter box. An outlet coupling is disposed through the wall of the meter box such that a first portion of the outlet coupling extends exterior of the meter box and a second portion of the outlet coupling extends interior of the meter box. A telescoping tube is located in the meter box, extended into and movable relative to, and in fluid communication with, at least one of the second portion of the valve coupling and/or the second portion of the outlet coupling. The telescoping tube varies a distance between the valve coupling and the outlet coupling within the meter box.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 19, 2024Publication date: June 13, 2024Inventor: Robert W. Huddleston

Publication number: 20240117905Abstract: A wide range coupling assembly is provided. The wide range coupling assembly includes a coupling body, a first wedge ring, and a second wedge ring. The coupling body has a first open end and a second open end located opposite the first open end. The coupling body is configured to receive a first pipe end in the first open end and a second pipe end in the second open end. The first open end and the second open end of the coupling body are in fluid communication with each other. The first wedge ring is concentrically formed and fitted within the first open end of the coupling body. The second wedge ring is concentrically formed and fitted within the second open end of the coupling body. The first and second wedge rings each include a plurality of spaced apart fingers and a concentric base.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventor: Robert W.
