  • Publication number: 20150218349
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a plurality of glass bubbles having an average true density of up to about 0.55 grams per cubic centimeter and a size distribution including a median size in a range from about 15 micrometers to 40 micrometers. A hydrostatic pressure at which ten percent by volume of the plurality of glass bubbles collapses is at least about 100 megapascals. In some embodiments, the plurality of glass bubbles is a graded fraction preparable by classifying a second plurality of glass bubbles, wherein the second plurality of glass bubbles has a higher percentage of glass bubbles with a size of up to ten micrometers than the first plurality of glass bubbles. Composites including the plurality of glass bubbles are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20140320293
Abstract: A method for alerting an operator during linkage overload in a machine is disclosed. The method includes calculation of operational height of a payload carrier. Fluid pressure in one of a lift cylinder assembly and a tilt cylinder assembly is sensed and weight of a payload based on the fluid pressure is calculated. Maximum payload height based on the pressure of at least one of the lift cylinder assembly and the tilt cylinder assembly, is determined Based on the maximum payload height, a threshold payload height is determined and compared with an operational height of the payload carrier. When the operational height of the payload carrier is equal to or greater than the threshold payload height, at least one of a warning generation event and limiting raising of the lift cylinder assembly occurs.

  • Patent number: 8522829
Abstract: An insulated article having a first insulation region comprising a first polymeric material and first hollow ceramic microspheres and a second insulation region comprising a second polymeric material and second hollow ceramic microspheres. The first insulation region has a thermal conductivity that is no greater than the thermal conductivity of the first polymeric material and a volumetric heat capacity in a range of 60% to 90% of the volumetric heat capacity of the first polymeric material. The second insulation region has a thermal conductivity that is no greater than 90% of the thermal conductivity of the second polymeric material and a volumetric heat capacity that is less than 60% of the volumetric heat capacity of the second polymeric material. • Patent number: 7056079
Abstract: Work machines having linkages may need to have the linkage assembly locked in a predetermined position to prevent damage to an implement attached to the work machine, to prevent tipping of the work machine, to operate the implement, or other reasons. Locking the linkage assembly, however, can create significant loads on the linkage assembly. The disclosed method and apparatus is for a work machine that comprises a chassis, at least one linkage assembly attached to the work machine, at least one restraint having a first-end portion and a second-end portion, the second-end portion being attached to the chassis and the first-end portion being attached to the linkage assembly, the restraint transferring a load from the linkage assembly to the chassis.
