  • Publication number: 20240111578
Abstract: A method for hierarchical work scheduling includes consuming a work item at a first scheduling domain having a local scheduler circuit and one or more workgroup processing elements. Consuming the work item produces a set of new work items. Subsequently, the local scheduler circuit distributes at least one new work item of the set of new work items to be executed locally at the first scheduling domain. If the local scheduler circuit of the first scheduling domain determines that the set of new work items includes one or more work items that would overload the first scheduling domain with work if scheduled for local execution, those work items are distributed to the next higher-level scheduler circuit in a scheduling domain hierarchy for redistribution to one or more other scheduling domains.

  • Publication number: 20240057517
Abstract: An agricultural planter row unit has a trench opener fixed to a support frame and a gauge wheel supported by a gauge wheel arm to control planting depth. An electric actuator drives movement of a linkage with a mechanical stop that bears against the gauge wheel support arm to position the gauge wheel to obtain the desired planting depth. A seed depth control system receives an operator input, from an operator compartment of a towing vehicle, and automatically controls actuation of the seed depth actuator.

  • Patent number: 11530835
Abstract: There is described a system and method of a building management system for preventive maintenance of an HVAC unit. Runtime data of the HVAC unit is received at a control system remote from the HVAC unit. A service message is initiated, by the control system, to a service device associated with the HVAC unit in response to determining that a preventive maintenance visit is warranted based on the runtime data. A hot-cold test for the HVAC unit is activated by the control system in response to receiving the registration message of the preventive maintenance visit from the service device. A validation message is reported in response to validating the preventive maintenance visit based on a result of the hot-cold test for the HVAC unit.

  • Patent number: 9433141
Abstract: A seed delivery system housing contains a transport mechanism for moving seed along a seed path through the delivery system housing. A wear liner may include a wear liner insert extending along a portion of the seed path within the delivery, the wear liner insert including a wear surface interposed between the transport mechanism and the seed delivery system housing to protect at least one of the seed and the seed delivery system housing from wear. In certain embodiments, various features of the liner may extend outside the seed delivery system housing, to further protect the housing.

  • Patent number: 9301441
Abstract: A brush conditioner is described for a seeding machine that moves seed along a seed path with a brush belt having free brush ends and attached brush ends. The brush conditioner may include a conditioning member with a mounting portion and a conditioning portion. The mounting portion may be attached to the brush belt housing and the conditioning portion may angle away from the mounting portion to extend across the seed path. • Patent number: 9216860
Abstract: A belt tensioner assembly is described for a seeding machine that moves seed along a seed path with a seed-transport belt, the seed-transport belt being contained by a belt housing and supported by a fixed belt support. An adjustment mechanism may have an input member accessible from outside the belt housing and a positioning member disposed within the belt housing, the positioning member changing positions in response to user input applied to the input member. A transfer mechanism may be coupled to the positioning member and to a movable belt support, and may move in response to the change in positions of the positioning member. User input to the adjustment mechanism may vary the tension of the seed-transport belt by changing the positioning of the positioning member to move the transfer mechanism and drive the movable belt support along a centerline extending between the fixed and movable belt supports.

  • Patent number: 8354627
Abstract: Embodiments of a torsion stop deployment system for utilization onboard an airborne object are provided. In one embodiment, the torsion stop deployment system includes a deployable element hingedly coupled to the airborne object and rotatable from a non-deployed position to a deployed position. The torsion stop deployment system further includes a torsion bar member, which is fixedly coupled to the airborne object and which resiliently resists the rotation of the deployable element to reduce shock to the airborne object during deployment of the deployable element.

  • Patent number: 7952055
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for deploying control surfaces generally comprise a fin deployment system for projectiles. The fin deployment system is used to control the timing of the control surface deployment. In one embodiment, the deployment system comprises a clip that is configured to react the biasing force of one control surface against another in order to maintain the control surfaces in a non-deployed state until at least one control surface is able to overcome the retention force of the clip, thus beginning a chain reaction in which all of the control surfaces deploy sequentially.

  • Publication number: 20100230124
Abstract: An opener assembly for a ground engaging implement having a disk is shown. This invention attaches a scraper to the main opener arm of an opener assembly with a two point connection. One connection point allows rotation of the scraper about three orthogonal axes while the other connection point restricts rotation about one of the axes and biases the scraper edge into contact with the disk blade.
