  • Publication number: 20040114968
Abstract: A development system optimized for localized agitation of developer material proximate to and within a development zone so as to provide cleaner and more efficient development of an electrostatic latent image on an imaging surface. The development system includes a development material sump, a magnetic developer roll including a rotatable sleeve having located therein an offset rotatable magnetic core, and a developer material delivery system for providing a metered supply of developer material. One or more stationary magnets located within the sleeve provide a static magnetic field pattern effective for attracting developer material to the sleeve and for aiding transport of the developer material therefrom to the development zone.

  • Publication number: 20040114967
Abstract: In a development system including a developer transport adapted for depositing developer material on an imaging surface having an electrostatic latent image thereon, including: a housing defining a chamber storing a supply of developer material comprising carrier and toner; a donor member, mounted partially in the chamber and spaced from the imaging surface, for transporting developer on an outer surface thereof to a region opposed from the imaging surface the donor member having a magnetic assembly having a plurality of poles, a sleeve, enclosing the magnetic assembly, rotating about the magnetic assembly; the magnetic assembly generating a developer bed having predefine developer bed height; a grid, interposed between said and the imaging surface within the predefined bed height, the grid having apertures for permitting carrier and toner therethrough; and means for biasing a region between the grid and the imaging surface at a voltage potential so that toner is ejecting towards the imaging surface after ton

  • Patent number: 6640075
Abstract: An apparatus for developing a latent image recorded on an imaging surface with toner, including: a developer housing including a reservoir for storing a supply of toner; a donor member for transporting toner on an outer surface of the donor member to a development zone; a purging system, adjacent to the donor member, for removing toner the donor member and the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 6167228
Abstract: An apparatus for non-interactive, dry powder development of electrostatic Images composed of solid areas and fine lines areas on an imageable surface including a housing containing developer material; a first magnetic roll, spaced a first predefined distance from the image, for transporting the developer material from the housing to develop solid areas of the image, the magnetic roll including an magnetic core and a cylindrical sleeve enclosing and rotating about the magnetic core; and a second magnetic roll, spaced a second predefined distance from the image, for transporting the developer material from the housing to develop fine line areas of the image, the magnetic roll including an magnetic core and a cylindrical sleeve enclosing and rotating about the magnetic core.

  • Patent number: 5803064
Abstract: An anesthesia system for use in MRI suites is provided. The anesthesia system is connected between an anesthesia machine positioned outside the MRI suite and a patient positioned within the MRI suite. The anesthesia machine provides anesthesia gas mixture for anesthetizing the patient. The apparatus has a delivery mechanism for transporting the anesthesia gas mixture from the anesthesia machine to the MRI suite and a mechanism for introducing fresh room air into the anesthesia gas mixture thereby creating a combined gas mixture. A reservoir mechanism receives and stores at least a portion of the anesthesia gas mixture delivered through the delivery mechanism. A mechanism introduces fresh room air into the anesthesia gas mixture thereby creating a combined gas mixture. A ventilation mechanism receives and stores the combined gas mixture.
