  • Publication number: 20220331834
Abstract: A dispense tip receives material from a material source and applies the material to a substrate. The dispense tip includes a hub having a body that defines a proximal end, a distal end opposite the proximal end along a central axis, a passage extending through the body, an inner surface facing the passage, and at least three radial features each extending 360 degrees about the central axis and radially into the body from the inner surface. The dispense tip also includes a tube defining a central passage extending therethrough, where the tube is at least partially received within the passage such that the central passage of the tube is in fluid communication with the passage, and an adhesive is disposed between the tube and the inner surface of the hub. The adhesive is received within the at least three radial features and secures the tube to the hub.

  • Patent number: 11040369
Abstract: A side-by-side cartridge assembly for dispensing a first fluid and a second fluid includes a first cartridge body and a second cartridge body having first and second cartridge coupling elements, respectively. The first cartridge body extends along an axial direction and has a radial boundary or periphery transverse to the axial direction. The first cartridge has a first neck portion of a neck, and the second cartridge has a second neck portion of the neck. The first neck portion projects from the first cartridge body such that the first neck portion is within the radial boundary or periphery of the first cartridge. As such, the first cartridge coupling element operatively connects to the second cartridge coupling element to secure the first cartridge to the second cartridge and form the neck for discharging a first fluid and a second fluid.

  • Publication number: 20170144187
Abstract: An integrated multicomponent dispensing system for use with a fluid dispenser and associated methods of manufacture, such as by 3D printing are provided. The system includes a cartridge including first and second cylinders having first and second chambers for storing first and second fluid components, respectively, and first and second fluid outlets. A static mixer of the system includes a fluid passageway and a plurality of mixing baffles configured to mix the first and second fluid components upon delivery into the fluid passageway. A frangible closure may also be formed integral with the cartridge and/or the static mixer to prevent discharge of the fluid components into the static mixer until this is desired. The formation of the static mixer and optionally also the cartridge as an integral, unitary piece reduces cost of assembly and storage of multiple parts conventionally formed separately.

  • Patent number: 9527106
Abstract: An applicator for dispensing a first viscous fluid includes a support structure, a cartridge including a first wall and a first interior space. The first interior space receives a first collapsible tube holding the first viscous fluid. The first collapsible tube is formed from a flexible material and has a length with generally opposite sidewall portions defined along the length. The first collapsible tube is positioned against the first wall and further includes a closed end and a dispensing end. An actuator is operatively coupled to the support structure and moves through the interior space of the cartridge along the length of the collapsible tube and against one of the generally opposite sidewall portions to compress the one generally opposite sidewall portion against the other sidewall portion along the length and squeeze the viscous fluid from the dispensing end.
