  • Patent number: 11955207
Abstract: The disclosure provides systems and methods for data analysis of experimental data. The analysis can include reference data that are not directly generated from the present experiment, which reference data may be values of the experimental parameters that were either provided by a user, computed by the system with input from a user, or computed by the system without using any input from a user. Another example of such reference data may be information about the instrument, such as the calibration method of the instrument.

The system comprises one or more sensors located on a machine, a computing module operably coupled to the one or more sensors, and a comparing module operably coupled to the computing module. Further, the system includes a monitor coupled to the comparing module and the computing module. The monitor displays a remaining payload weight for the truck, with color. A first background color is used when the remaining payload weight is above a tolerance range. A second background color is used when the remaining payload weight is within the tolerance range. A third background color is used when the remaining payload weight is below the tolerance range.

  • Patent number: 8218411
Abstract: A compact disc player and a method and an article of manufacture for controlling ejection of a compact disc are provided. The compact disc player includes a temperature sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of a temperature of the compact disc player utilizing a temperature sensor. The compact disc player further includes a controller operably communicating with the temperature sensor. The controller is configured to determine an ejection time interval value based on the signal. The controller is further configured to energize a motor coupled to a drive mechanism for a time internal corresponding to the ejection time interval value to induce the drive mechanism to move a compact disc to a predetermined position outwardly from a housing.

  • Patent number: 7194364
Abstract: A method of analyzing a digital media by a digital media player and displaying the condition of the digital media whether or not the player ejects the digital media, provides useful information for the end user. Preferably, an ASIC of the digital media player measures jitter, HF and BLER and inputs the measured values into a microprocessor of the player. If the measured values are greater than respective pre-established threshold values, the microprocessor tabulates and stores running averages to an electronic memory. If the running averages are excessive, the player will deliver an error message to the end user preferably on an electronic display of the digital media player.

  • Patent number: 4670052
Abstract: A process for the recovery of gold from a precious metal bearing sludge concentrate is disclosed. The process comprises the steps of leaching the sludge with hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide to solubilize at least gold, palladium and platinum, removing silver from the leach slurry as insoluble silver chloride and selectively precipitating gold from the leach solution remaining after removal of silver by reduction with SO.sub.2 in the presence of sodium ions.

  • Patent number: 4457897
Abstract: A hydrometallurgical process for the recovery of cobalt from cobaltite-pyrite concentrates containing substantial amounts of cobalt, arsenic, iron and sulphur is disclosed. The hydrometallurgical process comprises pressure leaching of the cobaltite-pyrite concentrates with a sodium chloride or sodium sulphate solution at a temperature in the range of 130.degree.-160.degree. C. and under oxygen partial pressures in the range of 75-200 psi to solubilize at least 90% of the cobalt content, while simultaneously precipitating most of the iron and arsenic as jarosite and ferric arsenate.

  • Patent number: 4338168
Abstract: A method is provided for recovering copper values from a copper-bearing hematite residue in a single stage. It comprises leaching the residue in an aqueous sulphuric acid solution in the presence of ammonium, sodium or potassium ions, at a temperature between about 80.degree. C. and the boiling point of the solution so that copper values are dissolved while iron is precipitated as jarosite. The method is particularly suitable for the treatment of residues resulting from an oxidizing pressure leach of copper concentrates.

  • Patent number: 4039406
Abstract: This invention provides a novel and an improved hydrometallurgical method for recovering copper values from copper concentrates. The method essentially comprises the following steps:A. forming an aqueous leach solution containing chloride or bromide ions in a predetermined concentration;B. dispersing copper concentrates in such leach solution to form a slurry;C. carrying out the leaching operation of the slurry at an elevated temperature and under an overpressure of oxygen so as to transform a major proportion of the copper values present in the concentrates into a solid basic copper sulphate;D. separating the resulting leach residue containing the basic copper sulphate from the leach solution; andE. recovering the copper values from the obtained leach residue. The process is simple and efficient and can be carried out either batchwise or continuously.

  • Patent number: 3988418
Abstract: An improved hydrometallurgical method is provided for producing technical grade molybdic oxide from molybdenite concentrates. According to this method, the molybdenite concentrates are leached in an acid medium having a nitric acid concentration between about 25 gpl and about 50 gpl and an initial sulphuric acid concentration of nil to about 750 gpl, under oxygen pressure of about 100 - 250 psig and at a temperature above 115.degree. C so as to produce technical grade molybdic oxide having not more than 0.1% sulphur. Then a liquid-solid separation of the reaction mixture is effected and the obtained leach liquor is recycled back to the leaching stage optionally after partial neutralization with a basic reagent. The solid is washed and recovered as technical grade molybdic oxide. This invention relates to a novel method of producing hydrometallurgically technical grade molybdic oxide from molybdenite concentrates.
