  • Publication number: 20230254182
Abstract: There is provided a system that comprises an IP-routed interregional distribution network, and a user-network interface (UNI) that employs (a) a first virtual broadcast domain (VBD), (b) a second VBD, (c) a virtual extensible local area network (VXLAN), and (d) a protocol transformation stack. The UNI is adapted for layer 2 connection to a user device via the first VBD, and adapted for layer 3 communication over the IP-routed interregional distribution network via the VXLAN. The protocol transformation stack is adapted to convert a layer 2 broadcast domain to/from an IP-routable form by mapping the first VBD to the second VBD, and encapsulating the second VBD into the VXLAN.

  • Patent number: 10884986
Abstract: A method for repairing a corrupted filesystem, whereby the corrupted filesystem includes a plurality of corrupted metadata structures is provided. The method may include determining a plurality of missing metadata structures associated with the corrupted filesystem. The method may also include determining a plurality of current addresses corresponding to a plurality of valid metadata structures in a hierarchical metadata structure of the corrupted filesystem. The method may further include locating the plurality of missing metadata structures and a plurality of addresses associated with the missing metadata.

  • Patent number: 10261863
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to maintaining file system consistency on a mounted storage device in a computing system during system runtime. In one embodiment, a method generally includes locking access to a file stored in a file system on the mounted storage volume and metadata associated with the file. A computing system determines one or more properties associated with the file and examines the metadata for inconsistencies between the metadata and the determined properties. Upon determining that the metadata and the determined properties are consistent, the computing system generates a backup copy of the file, commits the backup copy to a backup data repository, and unlocks access to the file.

  • Patent number: 10216613
Abstract: A system debugs software code and performs a method of debugging software code. The method includes starting execution of an instantiation of a process within the software code and determining whether the instantiation of the process corresponds with any entry in a database of reserved process identifiers (PIDs) and thread identifiers (TIDs). The system also includes assigning the PID and the TID from among the reserved PIDs and the TIDs in the database to the instantiation of the process based on the instantiation of the process corresponding with any entry in the database.
