  • Patent number: 4589249
Abstract: A vehicle is controllably powered to be steerably moved over an area. Mountable on the front is a cutter assembly. Also mounted on the vehicle is a hopper. Mowed cuttings are delivered by a conduit from the cutter to the hopper. That hopper is positioned atop the vehicle and coupled to the delivery end of the conduit. Moreover, the hopper is movable with respect to the vehicle into another position wherein the hopper is disengaged from the conduit and at which latter position cuttings may be easily removed.

  • Patent number: 4431783
Abstract: Polymerization of vinyl chloride in aqueous suspension using a polymerization reactor having adherently deposited on internal surfaces thereof a build-up suppressant coating comprising a product of build-up suppressant activity formable by (and preferably formed by) the condensation of an effective 1-naphthol (preferably 1-naphthol itself) and formaldehyde. The condensation is preferably effected in a base-catalyzed reaction; it may also (less preferably) be effected in an acid-catalyzed reaction. The coating product itself and a process for its production are also claimed.

  • Patent number: 4095679
Abstract: An elongated frame rests on the ground in the path of a self-propelled sprinkler wheel. The wheel rides up onto a pair of rollers on the frame to prevent the wheel from obtaining traction and another roller on the frame engages the front of the wheel to positively block further forward movement of the sprinkler.

  • Patent number: 4094935
Abstract: An evaporative cooling system includes a housing with an outlet in one wall and a pair of inlets in opposing other walls. A pair of endless belts are individually disposed inside the respective inlets with each belt being of a material to which a liquid may cling and transparent to air flow so as to achieve evaporation. A portion of each belt extends through a reservoir and the belts are driven in movement therethrough. Blower apparatus disposed between the belts draws air through the inlets and the belts and exhausts the air through the outlet.
