Patent number: 11348074Abstract: A join service joins first and second computerized meetings. The join service receives information about the first and second computerized meetings from respective first and second meeting services. In response to a request from one of the first and second services to join the meetings, the join service translates audio, video, and data signaling between the first computerized meeting service and the second computerized meeting to join participants in the first computerized meeting and participants in the second meeting in a combined computerized meeting. An alternative join service obtains a uniform resource indicator (URI) for an agent of the first meeting. In response to a request from a participant in the second meeting to access the first meeting, the join service provides the URI to the second meeting service to allow the second meeting service to join the second meeting to the first meeting.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2020Date of Patent: May 31, 2022Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Anthony C Romano, Ganesh Sridharan, Giridhar Kalpathy Narayanan, Robert W. Patent number: 10699250Abstract: A first meeting of a first network service is connected to a second meeting of a second network service by sending data identifying the first network service to the second network service and receiving, from the second network service, a key that is associated with the first network service. The first network service then sends information identifying the second meeting and a link to the first meeting to the second network service using an address for second network service that includes the key. The first network service then receives a second meeting link to the second meeting from the second network service and providing devices participating in the first meeting with the second meeting link. These devices activate the second meeting link to access resources of the second meeting.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2018Date of Patent: June 30, 2020Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Anthony C Romano, Ganesh Sridharan, Giridhar Kalpathy Narayanan, Robert W. Patent number: 10038876Abstract: Binding of separate communication platform meetings is provided. Video conference service interconnection with online meeting service may be achieved by allowing the online meeting service to provide a tenant identifier to the video conference service, which may be associated with the tenant and used in a key that is used by the video conference service to schedule and initiate meetings. The online meeting service may also include the key in metadata used by its scheduling service. The tenant identifier and/or the key may be used by the components involved in initiating and, facilitating various meetings by users of the online meetings (and by users of the video conference service).Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2016Date of Patent: July 31, 2018Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Anthony C. Publication number: 20100241675Abstract: Architecture that automatically breaks the circular reference between objects without any different logic by introducing a helper object called a child object container. The child object is contained within the container object and both share a reference counter. The parent object holds a strong reference to the container object. When adding a reference to the child object both the shared reference counter and the parent reference counter increase. When releasing a reference to the child object both the shared reference counter and the parent reference counter decrease. This approach provides a systematic way of solving the circular reference problem that does not rely on any weak-reference feature provided by the programming language.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2009Publication date: September 23, 2010Applicant: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Robert W. Young, Yu Shao, Rui Liang, Yiu-Ming Leung

Patent number: 7427314Abstract: A desiccant container (10) includes a cylindrical body (12) having a first end (14) and an opposed second end (16). The cylindrical body (12) defines a desiccant chamber (18) within the cylindrical body (12) for holding the desiccant material within the chamber (18) between the first and second ends (14, 16). The cylindrical body (12) is made of a flexible, gas permeable, liquid impermeable material. A first disk (20) is secured adjacent the first end (14), and a second disk (22) secured adjacent the second end (16) to facilitate closing of the ends (14, 16) and to support maintenance of a cylindrical shape of the container (10) during usage of the desiccant container (10) in high-speed automated packaging machinery.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2005Date of Patent: September 23, 2008Assignee: Aridien, Inc.Inventors: Robert W. Patent number: 6829876Abstract: A process for splicing cut ends of a continuous strip of packets or bags used to hold bulk material. The steps of the process include forming a continuous strip of packets from packaging material and filling the packets with bulk material. The edges of the packaging material are sealed to form individual packets of the continuous strip such that adjacent packets share a common sealed area of packaging material. Openings are then formed in the common sealed areas between the adjacent packets. The continuous strip is then cut entirely across the common sealed area of the packets at two separate locations on the continuous strip to form cut ends such that each of the cut ends of the continuous strip contains an opening in the common sealed area. Without using splicing tape, the two cut ends of the continuous strip with openings are spliced together such that the openings in the two cut ends overlap. The splicing process can be accomplished by ultrasonic welding, impulse splicing or other processes.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2002Date of Patent: December 14, 2004Inventors: Robert W. Young, Tateshi Kimura, Stefan O. Dick

Patent number: 5701944Abstract: The machine includes a carriage assembly supporting a shot sleeve and shot cylinder at a fixed angle relative to vertical. The sleeve follows a first straight line path from a remote position to an intermediate position aligned with an aperture of the die casting die and a second path to a position communicating with the aperture. Docking cylinders lift the shot cylinder, sleeve and a docking plate to a position at which the docking plate is aligned with locking cylinders and to bring the sleeve into engagement with the die aperture. Actuation of the locking cylinders moves the docking plate into engagement with a sleeve frame supporting the shot cylinder which is thereafter actuated to eject molten metal from the sleeve engaged to the die aperture.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 1995Date of Patent: December 30, 1997Assignee: Doehler-Jarvis Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Robert W. Young

Patent number: 5537236Abstract: A liquid crystal display system comprising a first display member overlying a second display member. Each member comprises two transparent layers (such as glass), coated with polariser and separated by a layer of liquid crystal. Each member has a set of individually actuable display elements. The display elements in the second member, and are visible through the first member.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 1994Date of Patent: July 16, 1996Assignee: Meggitt (UK) LimitedInventor: Robert W. Young

Patent number: 5184388Abstract: Box machine forming wheels are individually stabilized with a respective, frame mounted, stationary yoke disposed within the circumferential groove of a head wheel that is rigidly secured to the forming wheel. Lateral space between the yoke finger faces and the rotating groove walls is adjustably filled by rub plates mounted on dowel pins confined within yoke finger guide bores. A cone tipped adjustment screw cooperates with conical tips on the dowel pins to selectively expand the rub plate assembly for operational wear accommodation.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 1992Date of Patent: February 9, 1993Assignee: Westvaco CorporationInventors: Zigmunt Nieradka, Robert W.
