    Abstract: A method for tracking an item in a distributed environment is provided. At least one node in a network adds a new block to a first cryptographically verifiable ledger represented by a first sequence of blocks that is stored in one or more non-transitory computer-readable media. The new block added to the first cryptographically verifiable ledger contains a component identifier and a hash of a previous block in the first sequence of blocks. The at least one node in the network adds a new block to a second cryptographically verifiable ledger represented by a second sequence of blocks that is stored in the one or more non-transitory computer-readable media. The new block added to the second cryptographically verifiable ledger contains a destination identifier, the first sequence of blocks, and a hash of a previous block in the second sequence of blocks.

The customer captures any motion detected video of the package occurring after delivery of the package by the courier and this video is added to the blockchain.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for performing a supply chain verification using blockchain. As packages proceed through the supply chain, data associated with each package is uploaded to respective blockchains such that a non-corruptible record can be maintained of how each individual blockchain was processed. This can require gathering current sensor data, comparing it to data previously stored in the blockchain, and if there is a difference, updating the blockchain with a new block. The updated blockchain can then be distributed to databases, other packages/devices, etc., on a distributed ledger.

    Abstract: Architecture that automatically breaks the circular reference between objects without any different logic by introducing a helper object called a child object container. The child object is contained within the container object and both share a reference counter. The parent object holds a strong reference to the container object. When adding a reference to the child object both the shared reference counter and the parent reference counter increase. When releasing a reference to the child object both the shared reference counter and the parent reference counter decrease. This approach provides a systematic way of solving the circular reference problem that does not rely on any weak-reference feature provided by the programming language.

    Abstract: A process for splicing cut ends of a continuous strip of packets or bags used to hold bulk material. The steps of the process include forming a continuous strip of packets from packaging material and filling the packets with bulk material. The edges of the packaging material are sealed to form individual packets of the continuous strip such that adjacent packets share a common sealed area of packaging material. Openings are then formed in the common sealed areas between the adjacent packets. The continuous strip is then cut entirely across the common sealed area of the packets at two separate locations on the continuous strip to form cut ends such that each of the cut ends of the continuous strip contains an opening in the common sealed area. Without using splicing tape, the two cut ends of the continuous strip with openings are spliced together such that the openings in the two cut ends overlap. The splicing process can be accomplished by ultrasonic welding, impulse splicing or other processes.

    Abstract: A delta connected, resonant snubber-based, soft switching, inverter circuit achieves lossless switching during dc-to-ac power conversion and power conditioning with minimum component count and size. Current is supplied to the resonant snubber branches solely by the dc supply voltage through the main inverter switches and the auxiliary switches. Component count and size are reduced by use of a single semiconductor switch in the resonant snubber branches. Component count is also reduced by maximizing the use of stray capacitances of the main switches as parallel resonant capacitors. Resonance charging and discharging of the parallel capacitances allows lossless, zero voltage switching. In one embodiment, circuit component size and count are minimized while achieving lossless, zero voltage switching within a three-phase inverter.
