  • Publication number: 20240111290
Abstract: A system for detecting and engaging a refuse can includes at least one sensor positioned on a refuse collection vehicle and configured to detect objects on one or more sides of the refuse vehicle, an actuator assembly configured to actuate to engage the refuse can, and a controller configured to detect, using a single-stage object detector, the presence of the refuse can based on first data received from the at least one sensor, determine, based on the first data, a position of the refuse can with respect to the refuse collection vehicle, generate a first trajectory from the refuse collection vehicle to the position of the refuse can, generate a second trajectory for the actuator assembly, and initiate a control action to move at least one of the refuse collection vehicle along the first trajectory or the actuator assembly along the second trajectory to engage the refuse can.

  • Publication number: 20240075815
Abstract: A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, an energy storage device supported by the chassis and configured to provide electrical power to a prime mover, wherein activation of the prime mover selectively drives the refuse vehicle, a body for storing refuse therein supported by the chassis, a first hydraulic pump configured to convert electrical power into hydraulic power, a second first hydraulic pump configured to convert electrical power into hydraulic power, and a motor coupled to at least one of the body or the chassis and configured to drive the first hydraulic pump and drive the second hydraulic pump.

  • Patent number: 11922736
Abstract: A refuse vehicle includes multiple systems, each system including a sensor. The refuse vehicle also includes an automated check system. The automated check system includes processing circuitry configured to obtain sensor data from the sensor of each of the multiple systems, determine which of the multiple systems require manual inspection based on the sensor data, and operate a display screen to prompt a technician to manually inspect one or more of the multiple systems.

  • Patent number: 7522918
Abstract: A system and method for testing radio coverage of a land mobile radio system. The system configuration generally employs a fixed unit, a mobile unit and the two-way radio system (not part of the invention) subject to testing. The test system and method are compatible with any land-mobile radio system (conventional, trunked, using proprietary or standards-based protocols, FDMA or TDMA) operating in any frequency band. One of three methods may be selected to perform testing at any one time: continuous testing, grid testing or receive-only testing. In the continuous and grid modes, both the talk-out and talk-in paths are measured. Test results are recorded in a computer file after being converted to a digital format, and are compared to an original “reference file” via the Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality (PESQ) algorithm as defined by ITU-T standard P.862.

  • Patent number: 6061985
Abstract: Plate-shaped fire-resistant elements in a sandwich construction have at least three layers connected with one another and resist fire from a front and a back side. The fire-resistant elements are intended in particular for a ceiling or a wall of a building. The elements have a light weight, a high mechanical stability, and can be easily and inexpensively manufactured and installed in a building. The fire-resistant elements have two outer layers and a center layer lying therebetween in the form of a plate, whereby the edge area of the two outer layers is enclosed on at least two oppositely lying sides. Each side has an edge section and the layers are connected with one another. The outer layers have expandable glass granulate or perlite, and the center layer is constructed to prevent passage or penetration of gases.

  • Patent number: 6057254
Abstract: A dimensionally stable and fireproof acoustic panel includes an underlying panel covered on one or both sides by a cover panel. The underlying panel can be produced with a cover layer on the interior side thereof. The cover layer is composed of two layers, a coarse-pored stabilizing intermediate layer which in turn is covered by a second, fine-pored outer layer, both of which are bonded to one another and to the underlying panel by a matrix of adhesive material.

  • Patent number: 5910082
Abstract: A sound-absorbing building panel for lining of the inside walls and ceilings, in particular ceiling tile, consists of a carrier panel to be arranged spaced from a wall, which carrier panel is advantageously a perforated sheet metal and to which on at least one side a sound-absorbing, microporous layer is applied. Such a building panel, which does not require an insulation layer as a backing and can, moreover, be manufactured inexpensively, has a sound-absorbing layer of granules which are surrounded on all sides by an adhesive coating. The granules are essentially designed ball-shaped and are adhesively connected together at point-like connections and to the carrier panel. The granules also have a diameter between 0.1 to 0.9 times of the hole diameter of the carrier panel.
