  • Publication number: 20250041097
Abstract: A maintenance bag of an ostomy system can include fewer sensors than a diagnostic or analytic ostomy bag that is typically used for newer users. The maintenance bag can include sensors and electronics to detect fill level of the bag. The maintenance bag can also include a bag sealing mechanism that can detect drainage events and help the user to track inventory of the bags. A wafer that can be used with an ostomy bag can include leak sensors configured to detect leak of effluent via a single opening in the hydrocolloid layer that interfaces with skin of a user. The wafer can also include temperature sensors configured to detect inflammation. The wafer can further include a convex interface for better fit with certain users.

  • Publication number: 20180300542
Abstract: A system and method for enabling users to draw emojis for insertion into electronic text-based messages are disclosed. The system receives a handwritten drawing input from a user composing an electronic text based message on a computing device. The handwritten drawing input is to represent an emoji for insertion into the message, and comprises a series of strokes input to the computing device by the user. The system analyzes the series of strokes and matches the analyzed series of strokes to at least one emoji in a set of emojis. The user can then select the at least one emoji for insertion into the message.

  • Patent number: 7880730
Abstract: There is disclosed an enhanced text entry system which determines one or more alternate textual interpretations of each sequence of inputs detected within a designated auto-correcting keyboard region. The actual contact locations for the keystrokes may occur outside the boundaries of the specific keyboard key regions associated with the actual characters of the word interpretations proposed or offered for selection, where the distance from each contact location to each corresponding intended character may in general increase with the expected frequency of the intended word in the language or in a particular context.

  • Publication number: 20060185666
Abstract: A heating appliance includes an outer enclosure including a transparent front panel, a combustion chamber enclosure, and a variable speed blower. The combustion chamber enclosure is positioned within the outer enclosure and defines a combustion chamber wherein radiant heat is generated. The combustion chamber enclosure also includes a transparent front panel. The blower is configured to generate an adjustable airflow between the outer enclosure front panel and the combustion chamber enclosure front panel and to exhaust the airflow to a remote location. The airflow absorbs at least some of the radiant heat and varying a speed of the blower controls an amount of radiant heat transferred from the combustion chamber to a living space in which the heating appliance is exposed.

  • Publication number: 20060003276
Abstract: A burner for use in a hydrogen burning appliance that includes a gas enclosure defining a gas distribution chamber and a gas aperture, a burner having a combustion surface, a hydrogen gas source coupled to the gas enclosure, and a flame enhancement member positioned in a path of the combusting hydrogen. The hydrogen gas source supplies hydrogen gas to the gas chamber for distribution to the gas aperture for combustion of the hydrogen gas at the combustion surface. The flame enhancement member may alter properties of the flame such as the flame color.

  • Publication number: 20050205544
Abstract: An electric cooking assembly includes a main body portion that defines a cooking area. First and second cooking surfaces are contained within the cooking area. A first electric heating element arranged to provide heat to at least a portion of the first cooking surface, and a second electric heating element is arranged to heat at least a portion of the second cooking surface. The main body portion may include first and second hood members. The first hood member defines the cooking area and the second hood member is positioned at least partially within the cooking area and configured to decrease heat lost from the cooking assembly during preparation of food products in the cooking area. The second hood member is configured for adjustment between an open position providing access to the cooking surface and a closed position covering at least a portion of the cooking surface.

  • Patent number: 5435809
Abstract: A method for the treatment of denim fabrics or garments to achieve a worn or distressed look wherein treatment comprises contacting a plurality of denim fabrics or garments with an effective amount of a foam composition which contains an effective amount of a cellulase enzyme. The enzyme is capable of altering the color depth of the dye in the fabric materials. The garments or fabrics are vigorously tumbled so that they repeatedly contact and rub against one another so that abrasive rubbing contact between the garments or fabrics is ensured, which imparts a worn or distressed look to the fabrics or garments.
