  • Patent number: 8581644
Abstract: A system incorporating and method of operating phase locked loop circuitry. In one embodiment, having programmable circuitry for adjustment of loop dynamics, a VCO has a first input terminal for selecting phase and frequency characteristics of an output signal and an output terminal on which the output signal is provided. A detector generates first VCO input signals indicative of phase and frequency differences between the VCO output signal and a reference signal. Circuitry digitizes the first VCO input signals and generates an integral path input signal therefrom. Slow integral path circuitry comprising, a first transistor device and a programmable low pass filter: receives the integral path input signal, and provides a low pass filtered version of the integral path input signal to control conduction through the first transistor device and provide a first adjustment signal for adjustment of the frequency of the VCO output signal.

  • Publication number: 20130249786
Abstract: A method and system for human computer interaction using hand gestures is presented. The system permits a person to precisely control a computer system without wearing an instrumented glove or any other tracking device. In one embodiment, two cameras observe and record images of a user's hands. The hand images are processed by querying a database relating hand image features to the 3D configuration of the hands and fingers (i.e. the 3D hand poses). The 3D hand poses are interpreted as gestures. Each gesture can be interpreted as a command by the computer system. Uses for such a system include, but are not limited to, computer aided design for architecture, mechanical engineering and scientific visualization. Computer-generated 3D virtual objects can be efficiently explored, modeled and assembled using direct 3D manipulation by the user's hands.

  • Publication number: 20130215622
Abstract: A halo-type LED lamp includes a lamp holder provided with an accommodating groove formed with an opening. An LED light source is received in the interior of the accommodating groove, and a light-guiding ring is annularly mounted on the circumferential edge of the opening of the lamp holder. When the LED light source is started to emit light, a little part of the light will be emitted to the light-guiding ring to make the light-guiding ring shine and form a halo around the circumferential edge of the opening of the lamp holder to offer illumination to the circumference of the halo-type LED lamp. Further, the colored light produced by the colored light-guiding ring will function to produce esthetic sense of decoration to the whole space for building a pleasant atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20130208477
Abstract: An easily collapsible LED bulb mainly includes a lamp base and a lighting module. The lamp base has plural combining holes respectively engaged with plural fixing members of the lighting module, so as to fix the lighting module on the lamp base. With LEDs deployed on the lighting module and with durable pricy components, such as a power adapter etc, installed in the lamp base and electrically connected with the LEDs, it's just necessary to replace the lighting module in case of damage of the LEDs only, without necessity of discarding the whole LED bulb. So the LED bulb of the invention is genuinely eco-friendly and economic.

  • Publication number: 20130122898
Abstract: A remotely provisioned proxy within a wireless/mobile phone that proxies a wireless communication path between a disconnected piconet (e.g., BLUETOOTHâ„¢) device and a network resource such as a universal resource locator (URL) via a mating mobile phone. Thus, an application proxy module embodied within the mobile phone provides managed access of a piconet device connected to the mating mobile phone to remote services. A disconnected piconet device uses the full data bandwidth available to a wireless phone, without the need for the disconnected piconet device to include its own separate wireless front end, or to require use of a modem within the mobile phone. Thus, using a mobile phone with application proxy, the user need not pay for the luxury of a tethered data plan.
