    Abstract: Lignocellulosic material (wood) of improved dimensional stability is disclosed. The wood is stabilized with one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers, at least one of which is a vinyl-N-heterocyclic, especially vinyl pyrrolidone, which have been polymerized. A dimensional stabilization process is also disclosed.
