  • Patent number: 9290987
Abstract: A window assembly is described for installation in window openings having different thicknesses. A window frame having parallel side jambs, a header and a sill having inner and outer edges, and forming a rectangular opening is provided. C-shaped clamps are attached to the inner faces of the jambs, header and sill. The clamps include inwardly extending inner and outer side arms spaced at a given width, and an inner side. A rectangular extender frame is formed of four rectangular boards having lengths corresponding to the lengths of the frame jambs, header and sill. The extender frame is inserted into the clamps and moved relative to the window frame until the combined thickness of the extender frame and window frame corresponds to the thickness of the opening into which the window frame is to be mounted. Extender trim can be added to hide the clamps.

  • Patent number: 7263111
Abstract: A system and method for interconnecting two network domains operable to transport SS7 traffic of different types. A gateway disposed between a first network domain and a second network domain includes a generic Interworking functionality that is operable to effectuate an MTP2-based relay linkage between a first MTP2 interface and a second MTP2 interface. A first link segment is established between the gateway's first MTP2 interface and an equivalent interface in the first network domain's end node. A second link segment is established between the gateway's second MTP2 interface and a corresponding equivalent interface in the second network domain's end node. Thereafter, the relay linkage coupling the link segments is established for facilitating MTP2 traffic therebetween.

  • Patent number: 7006433
Abstract: A system and method for transporting IN/AIN signaling (e.g., SS7 signaling) over an IP-based network using Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP), wherein a peer-to-peer protocol adaptation (PPA) structure is provided at a signaling node. The PPA structure includes an interworking functionality between an MTP3 layer and the SCTP messaging, and operates to provide a symmetrical MTP2 adaptation interface therebetween. The PPA interface functionality facilitates the implementation of network management capabilities included in the MTP3 layer such that the advantageous features of SS7 signaling are retained in the SCTP transport. The MTP2 adaptation interface functionality is processed locally with respect to the signaling node, rather than backhauling the associated signaling to an external node via an IP connection.

  • Patent number: 4033606
Abstract: An equalized suspension system is provided for the truck of a truck-trailer combination of the tandem axle type. The suspension on each side of the vehicle includes independent semi-elliptic leaf springs mounted in tandem relationship one behind the other, and which are respectively connected at their midpoint to the forward and rearward axles. The remote ends of each spring are supported in rolling contact with respective roller assemblies housed by respective brackets which, in turn, are secured to the frame of the truck. An equalizer support bracket is provided between the adjacent ends of each pair of springs and an equalizer is pivotally supported within each equalizer support bracket. The adjacent ends of the springs are pivotally attached to shackles which, in turn, are pivotally mounted to the respective equalizers.
