    Abstract: A lock cylinder suitable for mortise locks comprises mechanically operating tumbler pins controlled by a key and at least one electromagnetic tumbler. The cylinder is arranged in a cylinder casing and comprises a coil as well as a locking member which can be displaced by electromagnetic forces for an additional tumbler pin which is spring-loaded in the locking direction and with a reading device which detects a key code. The locking member is pivotally mounted in a recess in the additional tumbler pin and enters the locking position in front of a stop on the cylinder casing.
