A substantially cylindrical hollow body includes an outer surface, an inner surface, two opposing open ends, and a longitudinal center between the two opposing open ends. A ridge extends radially outwardly from the outer surface at the longitudinal center. A hollow radial barb, with a point having a maximum diameter and a hollow section, is symmetrically disposed on the outer surface between each opposing open end and the ridge wherein the radial barbs extend outwardly from the outer surface and away from the ridge.

Abstract: A rotor for an electric machine includes a sheet metal package formed from stacked electrical sheets and having magnet pockets arranged therein, a plurality of magnets of which at least one is inserted into each of the magnet pockets, a plurality of clearances which are each delimited by the magnets inserted into one of the magnet pockets and by the sheet metal package, a filling opening which is arranged on an axial side of the sheet metal package and through which a first of the clearances is exposed, and a venting opening which is arranged on the axial side and through which a second of the clearances is exposed. The outer end of the filling opening and/or the outer end of the venting opening are widened. Also described are an electric machine having the rotor, a vehicle having the machine and a method for producing the rotor.

A request may be received originating from an end-user computing device of the end-user via a second end-user communication channel. A client-specific engagement profile may be loaded and evaluated based on the created end-user-specific preference profile. Based on the client-specific engagement profile evaluated based on the end-user-specific preference profile, content may be selected then transmission to an end-user system.

Abstract: A communication system, media, and methods that proxy location information to location unaware devices are provided. The communication system includes a wireless device that connects to a cellular network and personal area network. The cellular network includes a Global Positioning System server that provides location information based on the current location of the wireless device. A location-unaware device communicates with the wireless device to receive location information via the wireless device when the wireless device is within a predetermined distance of the location-unaware device. The location unaware device connects to a service database to store the location information and queries the service database to complete communication requests generated by a plain-old-telephone-system device that is connects to the location unaware device.

Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for receiving communication on a head unit, wherein the communication may be sent to a mobile device coupled to the head unit. The head unit may be enabled to receive communication sent to the mobile device by an application on the head unit, wherein the application may communicate with the network in communication with the mobile device. The head unit may be operable to receive communication sent to a plurality of mobile devices, wherein the head unit may prioritize the received communication. Communication sent to the mobile device and/or head unit may comprise calls, messages, emails, and/or data.

Abstract: An apparatus and media are provided for more effectively utilizing modems in a WiMAX environment. The apparatus connects a computing device to a network-based information system through at least a first WiMAX modem that is located within the apparatus. A second WiMAX modem can be removably coupled to the apparatus so as to connect the first computing device to the network in combination with the first WiMAX modem. In the event the second WiMAX modem is removed, network connectivity provided by the first WiMAX modem is maintained.

The unauthenticated electronic devices connect to the authenticated electronic device over a personal area network and initiate a communication session—via the authenticated electronic devices—with an authentication server located on a secure broadband wireless network that connects the one or more authenticated electronic devices. When the authentication server authorizes the unauthenticated electronic devices to access the secure broadband wireless network, network configuration data is communicated to the unauthenticated electronic devices via the authenticated electronic devices.

Abstract: Computer-readable media, systems, and methods for automated device activation are described. In embodiments, an activation message is received from a non-provisioned mobile device identifying a user account. In various embodiments, it is determined whether activation is authorized and, if it is determined that activation is authorized, the non-provisioned mobile device is activated. In various other embodiments, it is determined whether activation is authorized by sending a confirmation message to a provisioned mobile device and receiving an authorization message from the provisioned mobile device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for repairing a probe on a probe card is provided. A plurality of beams is formed on a beam panel. The plurality of beams includes a replacement beam. After identifying a damaged beam on the probe card, the damaged beam is removed from the probe card. The beam panel is aligned with the probe card. After the beam panel is aligned, the aligned beam panel is temporarily affixed to the probe card. After the beam panel is temporarily affixed to the probe card, the replacement beam is affixed at a location previously occupied by the damaged beam. After the replacement beam is affixed at the location, the beam panel is removed from the probe card.

Abstract: A cornice molding cap is provided as an accessory to cover or eliminate gaps created where cornice molding meets at a corner of a building. The cap covers gaps where cornice molding meets at a corner structure formed by two walls. The cap is particularly useful in exterior siding installations at corners not employing corner posts having receiver pockets for cladding material end edges. A method of finishing a corner molding installation is described, as is a system for finishing such installation, and an assembly including a unitary cornice molding corner cap.

Abstract: A device that mounts onto the front of a kayak to assist in righting the kayak after it rolls over. It consists of a small mast that is attached to a hinged base. An inflatable bag is attached to the top of the mast along with equipment to inflate the bag. A lanyard is attached to the inflation equipment and to the top of the mast. In a rollover, the user pulls the lanyard, which causes the bag to inflate and the mast to rotate 90 degrees. This places the mast perpendicular to the kayak with the inflated bag at the far end of the mast. The inflated bag acts like an outrigger that causes the kayak to roll back upright automatically. In this way, the kayak is turned upright with minimal problems and difficulties for the user.

Abstract: A media docking station and is provided. A detachable media-content-receiving receiving component (MCRC) includes a connector that mates with a connection port of a docking base. The connection port operationally receives the connector. The docking base is equipped with a plurality of communications ports for communicating media content to a receiving devices inputted thorough said communications ports. In an alternative embodiment, an adapter is provided for mating a conventional MCRC with a base member.

Abstract: A multipurpose tool to facilitate installation of deck construction includes a main body portion having at least one structural feature that defines a plane. At least one flange is coupled to the main body portion and is oriented substantially perpendicular to the plane. The flange may be used to maintain consistent spacing between decking planks during assembly. The tool also may be used to strike lines, space fasteners, maintain baluster spacing, identify distances and angles, and indicate levels.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a graphical display method and apparatus relating to an electrogram signal received from at least one lead used in conjunction with an implantable medical device. The present invention provides a time-expanded waveform of a portion of a signal relating to a single heartbeat. Sensitivity threshold information is also graphically displayed on the waveform. The programmer assembly of the present invention comprises an analyzer for locating and marking desired characteristics of the electrogram signal with a plurality of markers to produce a marked electrogram signal. A processor receives the electrogram signal from the analyzer and recognizes the marked desired characteristics of the electrogram signal. The processor also receives sensitivity threshold information from a particular lead.
