  • Publication number: 20250291334
Abstract: Techniques for uploading image data are provided. In one technique, based on first input received through a requester computer that includes an image viewer, image data is received from the requester computer. In a database, a record that indicates a print order that is based on the request and that includes the image data is generated. A request for data about 3D printing the image data is transmitted to an entity associated with the requester computer. Second input that includes instructions for segmenting the image data is received from the entity through a web portal. In another technique, a virtual 3D model and a control for approving the virtual 3D model are presented in a user interface of an image viewer. In response to receiving an indication that a user selected the control, 3D files corresponding to the 3D model are transmitted to a manufacturing facility that produces 3D models.

  • Publication number: 20250291326
Abstract: Techniques for managing the lifecycle of processing 3D print orders are provided. In one technique, image data and a request to print a 3D model are received, from a requester computer, over a computer network, through a web portal. Segmentation instructions about segmenting the image data are also received. A record that indicates a print order that is based on the request and the segmentation instructions and that includes the image data is generated in a database. Later, the database is searched for the record based on first input from a segmenting computer that is different than the requester computer. Segmented image data that has been segmented based on the segmentation instructions are received from the segmenting computer.

  • Publication number: 20070064904
Abstract: There is disclosed a system in which the patron's own telephone, or other wireless device, is used to inform the patron that a service for which the patron is waiting has become available. Once the patron's wireless device becomes registered with the service provider, informational messages of interest to that patron can be provided to the patron. These informational messages can be displayed on the screen of the wireless device or can be delivered to the patron audibly. In some situations, the patron's wireless device can be used for two-way communication with the service provider in order to, for example, answer a question or place an order. In one embodiment, the calling number of the patron's wireless device is entered into the system electronically, for example, using RFID or NF communication.

  • Publication number: 20070050259
Abstract: A system in which a user controls the log-in, transaction, and log-out process with respect to a merchant. The user's presence at the merchant's facility triggers the log-in process, such that the merchant's systems become aware of the user's presence. Once the user is registered with the merchant, information and services become available to the user without further action required by the user. Transactions are facilitated, specials are brought to the user's attention, personal shopping becomes available while the user remains in the facility. Upon leaving the facility, or after a certain elapsed time with a transaction being consummated, the user is logged-out of the system.
