  • Patent number: 11612377
Abstract: A method and system utilizes an imaging device that generates images of target tissue of a patient during a surgical procedure that acts on the target tissue imaged by the imaging device. The method and system enables visual detection of patient movement during the surgical procedure by marking at least one spatial attribute of one or more identifiable features of the target tissue illustrated in an image presented in a display window. Prior to acting on the target tissue, a visual indicator of the spatial attribute(s) is superimposed on one or more subsequent images captured by the imaging device and displayed to the operator. The operator can visually compare a position of the visual indicator to a position of the operator-identified feature in order to detect movement of the patient during the procedure. The system and methodology also facilitates realignment that corrects for detected patient movement.

  • Patent number: 11457820
Abstract: A housing containing an electrical energy source is coupled between a first end cap comprising a control and an interstitial member comprising an LED selectively electrically couplable to the electrical energy source by the control, and a second end cap coupled to the interstitial member comprises an optical filtering component in optical alignment with light emitted by the LED. At least a portion of an exterior of at least one of the housing, the first end cap, the interstitial member, and the second end cap may have a cross-sectional shape that is not substantially circular. The end caps, housing, interstitial member, and optical filtering component may each be sealingly interconnected. A method of using the apparatus may comprise directing light emitted by the apparatus into a human oral cavity without inserting the apparatus into the human oral cavity.

  • Patent number: 11150537
Abstract: The present disclosure introduces an optical component attachable to a mobile communications device and operable to spectrally filter images taken by a camera of the mobile device. Systems introduced herein include the optical component, the mobile device, and an illumination source for directing light at a specific wavelength/intensity into a human mouth, such that images taken by the camera record human mouth tissue responses to the light for cancer screening purposes. Such cancer screening may also utilize a database of other response images from other patients, which may be transmitted to the database by the mobile device and/or other mobile devices.

  • Publication number: 20120157841
Abstract: The invention is directed to a methodology (and corresponding system) that utilizes an imaging device that generates images of target tissue of a patient during a surgical procedure that acts on the target tissue imaged by the imaging device. The methodology enables an operator to visually detect patient movement during the surgical procedure by initially interacting with the operator to mark at least one spatial attribute of one or more common and easily identifiable features of the target tissue illustrated in an image presented in a display window. Prior to acting on the target tissue, a visual indicator of the operator-inputted spatial attribute(s) is superimposed on one or more subsequent images captured by the imaging device and displayed to the operator. The operator can visually compare position of the visual indicator to position of the operator-identified feature in order to detect movement of the patient during the procedure.

  • Publication number: 20050011601
Abstract: The subject invention is a process for applying adhesive product for adhering roof covering sheets to the upper surface of a building, such process comprising applies in the following products in various combination ratios: (a) synthetic rubber and resin; (b) toluene; (c) cyclohexane; (d) dearomatised petrol; With such product being applied by utilizing a spraying device to apply such product in an even layered film and then adhering to the bottom surfaces of a roofing sheet over such applied film. This positioning of the rubber roof sheets is preferably consummated immediately after the application of the adhesive product. Additionally certain other compounds may be added to the above product to minimize the viscosity of the product and render the product more compatible with the environment.
