  • Publication number: 20060162750
Abstract: A rod and pipe pushing device having opposed belt structures for engaging opposite sides of an elongated member that is to be pushed into an embedded pipe having a larger diameter than the elongated member. The device includes a pipe pushing apparatus pivotally mounted on a main support frame having an angle adjustment assembly that provides full angular adjustment capability to the pipe pushing apparatus. With such angular adjustment capability, an elongated member to be pushed by the pipe pushing apparatus can be readily aligned with an embedded pipe or bore hole of larger diameter for insertion therein. The elongated member may be provided with various cleaning and inspection tips enabling the rod and pipe pushing device, which is highly transportable, to be used effectively to clean and inspect a wide range of horizontally to vertically laid piping at various locations efficiently and cost-effectively.

  • Patent number: 5253845
Abstract: An apparatus for pulling a well pipe and downhole pump from a well and is constructed of relatively lightweight materials to enable the apparatus to be easily moved to a well site by the provision of a frame structure supported by relatively large wheels and a handle structure which enables the apparatus to be pushed, pulled or lifted for movement to an accurate orientation in relation to the well site and well casing with the apparatus providing a solid connection with the well casing for safe and efficient operation. The apparatus includes opposed belt structures for engaging opposite surfaces of a well pipe with the belt being driven by a motor and two worm gear speed reducers having outputs that turn drive axles in opposite directions which are drivingly connected to the belts and fork arms associated with the axles to enable adjustment of the contact area of the belts with the well pipe or other equipment which may be encountered when pulling a pump from a well.
