  • Publication number: 20200123847
Abstract: The invention comprises the use of two symmetric plastic mounting pieces for installation and use of a roller shade. The plastic mounting pieces incorporate low profile designs and a detent and symmetric channels for accommodating nearly all commercially available roller shades that utilize one or two prongs. The invention further comprises a method of installing the mounting pieces with out the use of a screw driver or level with the use of a mounting template that illustrates for an installer how to size a roller shade and how to orient the plastic mounting pieces in an efficient time saving manner. The installation uses adhesive type tabs similar or identical to 3M's Command® adhesive tabs.

  • Publication number: 20160253903
Abstract: An emergency vehicle alert system and method that uses a low-power radio frequency transmitter connected to an emergency vehicle, and a radio with multiple tuners connected to a passenger or light vehicle. Most currently produced passenger or light vehicles use radios with multiple tuners. One or more of those tuners can be re-purposed, periodically, to scan an emergency frequency for an emergency message. Upon receiving an emergency message that exceeds a pre-defined threshold, the system and method would switch the audio output of the passenger or light vehicle to broadcast the emergency message.

  • Patent number: 6862980
Abstract: A filter for absorbing ethylene gas and moisture and emitting carbon dioxide that can be removably coupled to a container. The container can have vent openings to allow air to circulate to prevent excess condensation, or the container can be any type of flexible, semirigid, or rigid produce container such as a plastic bag, a refrigerator or a typical plastic container. The contents of the filter are in vapor contact with the internal environment of the container such that it can absorb ethylene gas and moisture in the container and release carbon dioxide into the container to retard the ripening process of the produce stored in the container.

  • Publication number: 20050013720
Abstract: A rotary pump includes a stator housing and a rotor. The stator housing preferably has an oblong inner surface. The rotor, which is disposed in the stator housing, preferably has a substantially circular outer surface within which a plurality of vane slots are defined. A first chamber is defined between a first half of the oblong inner surface and the outer surface of the rotor. Similarly, a second chamber is defined between a second half of the oblong inner surface, diametrically opposite the first half, and the outer surface of the rotor. Resting within each of the plurality of vane slots is a corresponding sliding vane. A first inlet port and a first outlet port each provide access to the first chamber. Similarly, a second inlet port and a second outlet port each provide access to the second chamber. At least one of the vanes separates each of the first inlet port, the first outlet port, the second inlet port and the second outlet port from one another.
