  • Patent number: 12206588
Abstract: A method of reducing the bandwidth usage of a network comprises intercepting traffic between a TCP server and a TCP client using TCP protocols that use client acknowledgements; identifying client acknowledgements from the TCP protocols; identifying the sequence number of a last received client acknowledgements from the intercepted traffic; identifying the sequence number of a last sent client acknowledgement from the intercepted traffic; calculating an unacknowledged byte value based on the difference between the last received client acknowledgement sequence number and the last sent client acknowledgement sequence number; comparing the calculated unacknowledged byte value with a predetermined threshold value, to determine whether the calculated unacknowledged byte value is at least as great as the predetermined threshold value; and transmitting the identified client acknowledgements into the network when the compared unacknowledged byte value is at least as great as the predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 12203679
Abstract: A modular, cooling device for providing cool air to a body and/or an external environment comprises a first body portion combining a cooling medium and air passageways therethrough. The first body portion may be detached from second and third body portions and placed in a freezer to refreeze the cooling media, and reattached for further use. The second body portion may include a material that absorbs condensate that forms within the air passageways. The third body portion may include a fan for driving air into the cooling device, through the air passageways and out of the cooling device. When passing through the air passageways, a heat transfer is produced between the passing air and the cooling medium, cooling the passing air. The fan speed may be varied to adjust air flow.

  • Patent number: 12200567
Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for allowing a mobile device (e.g., a key fob or a consumer electronic device, such as a mobile phone, watch, or other wearable device) to interact with a vehicle such that a location of the mobile device can be determined by the vehicle, thereby enabling certain functionality of the vehicle. A device may include both RF antenna(s) and magnetic antenna(s) for determining a location of a mobile device relative to the vehicle. Such a hybrid approach can provide various advantages. Existing magnetic coils on a mobile device (e.g., for charging or communication) may be re-used for distance measurements that are supplemented by the RF measurements. Any device antenna may provide measurements to a machine learning model that determines a region in which the mobile device resides, based on training measurements in the regions.
