  • Publication number: 20250200171
Abstract: Methods, storage systems and computer program products implement embodiments of the present invention that include specifying a security feature for a software application including application instructions, and then analyzing the software application so as to identify a given application instruction for modification so as to implement the security feature. In response to analyzing the software application, the specified security feature is implemented by modifying the identified application instruction. Finally, execution of the software application with the modified application instruction is initiated so as to perform the specified security feature.

  • Patent number: 10876741
Abstract: A hydronic water heating system heats water for various types of heat emitters. A boiler assembly includes a user interface which receives user-defined water temperature set point corresponding to a minimum outdoor temperature, and an integrated controller generates a nonlinear outdoor reset curve between the user-defined set point and a second set point corresponding to maximum outdoor temperature for which heating is required, and regulates the boiler to heat water to a temperature corresponding to a set point along the nonlinear output reset curve and based on a detected outdoor temperature. The nonlinear outdoor reset curve may be generated based on aggregated heat output functions for various types of heat emitters. A linear outdoor reset curve may be generated between a maximum water temperature set point and the user-defined set point, having a slope equal to an instantaneous slope of the nonlinear outdoor reset curve at the user-defined set point.

  • Publication number: 20070007383
Abstract: A fin control assembly includes a housing, an arm configured to couple to a fin and to steer the fin relative to the housing, and a locking member disposed within the housing. The locking member is configured to (i) lock the arm in a substantially fixed state to inhibit movement of the arm relative to the housing when the locking member is in an engaged position, and (ii) unlock the arm from the substantially fixed state to allow the arm to steer the fin relative to the housing when the locking member moves from the engaged position to a disengaged position. The locking member has a cylindrical body portion and a cylindrical end portion, which is eccentric with the cylindrical body portion, to enable the locking member to lock the arm in the substantially fixed state while the arm holds the fin in a neutral location.

  • Publication number: 20060123612
Abstract: A system for precisely centering a workpiece within a cylindrical bore such that the center of the workpiece is coaxial with the central axis of the bore. An arbor is used within the cylindrical bore to sense and calculate the location of the central axis. The position of the workpiece is also sensed so that it can be aligned with the central axis. A computer system is used to perform the calculations and provide an indication of alignment of the workpiece and the central axis. The position of the central axis and the workpiece are found via a location determining system that may incorporate electromechanical and optical position sensing systems. For instance, a plurality of light transmitters and light receivers may be used to generate and transmit beams of light used in determining positions. The apparatus has particular application to free piston machines, and particularly free piston coolers.

  • Publication number: 20050022662
Abstract: A spring standoff for a reciprocating device, the standoff having a generally cylindrical body and having a window in a circumferential surface of the body, and a flange at each end of the body, one flange to be coupled to a planar spring of the reciprocating device, and the other flange to be coupled to a sealing container of the reciprocating device. The body generally concentrically houses at least a portion of a reciprocating rod coupled to the planar spring of the reciprocating device.
