  • Publication number: 20160110148
Abstract: A motor vehicle has an infotainment system with a controller for providing infotainment functions and a display unit, which is structurally separate from the controller and which has a screen for displaying display data. The display unit is retained in a motor-vehicle interior by a retaining device. The display unit allows a suitable posture when viewing different infotainment functions on the display unit by making the retaining device and the display unit nondestructively and reversibly detachable from each other. The controller is designed to transfer the display data to the display unit even while the display unit is detached from the retaining device.

  • Patent number: 5833263
Abstract: An airbag module has a generator carrier (11) which is to be secured to a vehicle component and on which or in which there is arranged a generator (12) and also an inflatable gas bag (20) which is enclosed within a housing (13) closed on all sides. The housing (13) consists of two housing halves (14, 15) which are hingedly connected together and which are connected to one another by a two-member snap fastener (16,17). A separation of the two housing halves (14,15) can be effected by fracture of a desired fracture location (18) at the holding members (16,17) on triggering of the generator (12) and inflation of the gas bag (20).

  • Patent number: 5823568
Abstract: A method for the assembly of an airbag generator carrier (11) with an associated airbag (12) consists in first sewing together the gas sack (12) until it is finished apart from a short slit (15) and subsequently checking for the presence of metal parts. Provided no metal parts are found in or on the gas sack (12) the generator carrier (11) is introduced through the short slit (15) into the interior of the gas sack (12), the sewing together of the short slit (15) then takes place subsequently while being monitored by video.

  • Patent number: 5743480
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety belt arrangement in vehicles having a belt tensioner comprising: a holder which is to be secured to the vehicle chassis, with a belt winding reel with a safety belt wound thereon being rotatably mounted on the holder; a belt retraction spring arrangement by means of which the safety belt is continuously lightly pretensioned in the draw-in direction so that it only loosely lies against the vehicle occupant secured by it; and an auxiliary drive which is separated drivewise by a clutch from the belt winding reel but is activated abruptly with an accident-dependent acceleration and is rotationally fixedly coupled to the belt winding reel via the then engaged clutch.
