  • Publication number: 20240427211
Abstract: An optical device includes an electrochromic layer including a single electrochromic region and electronic drivers. The optical device includes a controller for controlling the electronic drivers to change the light transmission of the electrochromic region by applying different voltages to electrodes contacting the electrochromic region. The optical device includes a light intensity sensor for detecting light intensity of regions of a two-dimensional scene, the regions of the scene corresponding to regions of the electrochromic region. The electronic drivers are caused by the controller to apply different voltages to the electrodes to set the light transmission of the regions of the electrochromic region based on detected light intensity of the regions of the scene.

  • Publication number: 20240027171
Abstract: A compact, hand-held anti-assault weapon for repelling attackers while avoiding serious injury to the potential victim. Weapon includes a rigid, metallic, cylindrical body with a concave section to serve as a secure hand grip. End caps seal the opposite ends of the body and define the hollow interior of the body. An electroshock generator is housed within the cylindrical body, and a button, on the exterior of the body, is depressed to actuate the electroshock mechanism, such as a stun gun, or Tazer. An ear on one end cap may be used to break glass, while a series of protrusions on the second end cap may be used to collect a DNA sample from an attacker. The electroshock generator discharges a burst of high intensity electrical beams through the second end cap to shock an attacker.

  • Patent number: 11109950
Abstract: A combination electric toothbrush and water irrigation device that combines a battery powered water irrigation device with a vibrating electric toothbrush, both of which are housed in a self-contained compact hand-held device. The pump for the water irrigation device and the DC motor with an off-center weight are contained within the handle of the toothbrush. A slide out water reservoir allows the user to fill the extended handle portion with water. A flexible water inlet tube is capable of compressing when the water reservoir is in the storage position. A weight fixed to the end of the inlet tube causes the tube to bend via gravity enabling it to be in constant contact with water while the handle is held at various angles. An LED at the underside of the pump housing illuminates the water contained within the transparent water housing.
