Abstract: Organs-on-chips are microfluidic devices for culturing living cells in micrometer sized chambers in order to model physiological functions of tissues and organs. Engineered patterning and continuous fluid flow in these devices has allowed culturing of intestinal cells bearing physiologically relevant features and sustained exposure to bacteria while maintaining cellular viability, thereby allowing study of inflammatory bowl diseases. However, existing intestinal cells do not possess all physiologically relevant subtypes, do not possess the repertoire of genetic variations, or allow for study of other important cellular actors such as immune cells. Use of iPSC-derived epithelium, including IBD patient-specific cells, allows for superior disease modeling by capturing the multi-faceted nature of the disease.

A handle has a base portion attached to an outer surface of the wall portion, an upwardly extending portion extending at an upward obtuse angle relative to a top edge of the wall portion, and a grasping portion depending from the upwardly extending portion and away from the pan portion, the grasping portion extending in a plane that is substantially parallel to the top edge of the wall portion.

Abstract: A cast iron Dutch oven comprising a pot having a generally planar base portion, an upwardly extending and outwardly tapered wall portion integrally formed with the base portion, the base portion defining a top edge having a plurality of raised portions separated by a plurality of lowered portions, and a plurality of wide legs having a crescent shape disposed around a perimeter of the base portion. A lid has a raised top wall around a top perimeter and a bottom edge contoured to mate with the top edge of the pot with corresponding raised portions separated by corresponding lowered portions. A plurality of downwardly extending flanges extend into the pot when the lid is positioned on the pot to prevent the lid from sliding from the pot and to create vent openings when the lid is rotated relative to the pot.

Abstract: A hand tool including a first head having at least one working surface, a second head having at least one working surface, and a handle having a first end and a second end, where the first head is coupled to the first end of the handle and the second head is coupled to the second end of the handle.
