  • Patent number: 12549464
Abstract: An event detection system in a telecommunications network is coupled to base stations to receive characteristics of uplink network traffic transmitted to the base stations. The event detection system identifies a geographic area in which the one or more characteristics of a subset of the uplink network traffic, generated by electronic devices located within the identified geographic area, satisfy a criterion. An event indicator is generated based on the subset of uplink network traffic. The event indicator can then be used by the event detection system, another component of the telecommunications network, or an external system to provide an event-based service that leverages information about events to provide information or content to people participating in or nearby to an event.

  • Patent number: 12520105
Abstract: An event indicator is received from an event detection system in a data network. The event indicator identifies a geographic area in which characteristics of uplink network traffic, generated by electronic devices located within the identified geographic area, satisfy a criterion. One or more media content items that were generated by respective electronic devices located within the identified geographic area are identified. Each media content item is mapped to a respective location within the identified geographic area based on a location of the respective electronic device that generated the media content item. A first media content item is output to an emergency response system based on the location to which the first media content item is mapped.

  • Publication number: 20250267457
Abstract: Systems and methods for authenticating telecommunication network-based digital tokens are disclosed herein. For example, the system can receive a first token associated with a user of a first user device. The system can extract, from a unified data function, first profile information for the user. The system can store, via a network exposure function, the first token and the profile information. The system can obtain, from a second user device, a second token and second profile information. The system can determine whether the first token matches the second token. The system can determine whether the first profile information matches the second profile information. Based on determining that the tokens and the profile information match, the system can transmit, to the second user device, a token authentication message. Based on determining that the tokens and the profile information do not match, the system can transmit an authentication failure message.
