Publication number: 20220151433Abstract: A heat deflector assembly for enhancing cleaning gas fired grills includes a plurality of deflectors. Each of the deflectors is comprised of a thermally conductive material such that each of the deflectors can be positioned over a respective one of a plurality of burners in a gas fired grill. Each of the deflectors has a non-stick coating integrated thereon to inhibit has grease from cooking sticking to the deflectors thereby enhancing cleaning grease from the deflectors. A cleaning tool is positionable on a respective one of the deflectors for cleaning the respective deflector. A riser is positionable between a respective burner in the gas fired grill and a grate in the gas fired grill.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 16, 2020Publication date: May 19, 2022Inventors: Robert Zurcher, Irene Zurcher

Patent number: 6974423Abstract: A blood collection needle assembly includes a holder body having a tube receiving chamber and a needle receiving chamber. A proximal needle is mounted to the holder body and projects into the tube receiving chamber. A distal needle is slidably mounted in alignment with the needle receiving chamber. A spring is provided to urge distal needle into the needle receiving chamber, and a trigger is provided for selectively permitting or preventing proximal movement of the distal needle. A transverse passage between the two needles is formed from a transparent material and provides indication of venus axis. The blood collection needle assembly is used to collect a sample of blood in a conventional manner. After collection of the blood, the trigger is actuated to release the distal needle and the spring propels the distal needle in a proximal direction for safe shielding within the needle receiving chamber of the holder body.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2003Date of Patent: December 13, 2005Assignee: Becton, Dickinson and CompanyInventor: Robert Zurcher

Patent number: 6837877Abstract: An intravenous (IV) infusion and/or blood collection assembly including a safety shield. The shield is particularly useful with winged needle assemblies. The shield is pivotally secured to the winged needle assembly to enable pivotal movement from a position away from the needle to a position enclosing the needle. The shield is lockable in a position over the used needle to prevent the user from contacting the used needle.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 2001Date of Patent: January 4, 2005Assignee: Becton, Dickinson and CompanyInventor: Robert Zurcher

Patent number: 6662957Abstract: A resealable barrier closure for a container with an open top and an annular snap ring below the open top. The closure includes a shell having an outer skirt dimensioned to telescope over the open top of the container. The outer skirt has a snap ring for engaging the snap ring on the container. The shell further includes an inner skirt to telescope into the open top of the container. An elastomeric diaphragm is sealingly engaged in the inner skirt. A barrier cup extends across the bottom face of the diaphragm and telescopes upwardly over the inner skin. The barrier cup initially is sealed hermetically to the container and to the plastic shell. The container may be opened by urging the plastic shell upwardly with sufficient force to break the seal between the barrier cup and the container. The container then may be resealed by merely urging the closure back over the open top of the container.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 2002Date of Patent: December 16, 2003Assignee: Becton Dickinson and CompanyInventors: Robert Zurcher, C.
