Patent number: 10467593Abstract: An enhanced enterprise system integrates enterprise application functionality of a conventional enterprise system and collaboration functionality of a conventional collaboration system to provide a centralized project or team space for managing and capturing the collaborative activity that is inherent in the enterprise application processes. For example, the enhanced enterprise system allows a user to access an enterprise application object and to create a shared team space for the enterprise application object. This causes the enhanced enterprise system to provision a collaborative site or team space within the integrated collaboration system, and associate the team space to the enterprise application object through which the team space was provisioned.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2005Date of Patent: November 5, 2019Assignee: Oracle America, Inc.Inventors: Robert A. Patent number: 6849994Abstract: An electrode assembly has an inner conductor removably connected to an insulating layer. The inner electrode is removable so that the discharge tip may be replaced without destroying the insulating layer and thus reused. In the preferred embodiment external threads on the inner conductor cooperate with internal threads in a bore of the insulating layer to fixably secure the insulating layer in a desired position relative to the inner conductor and discharge electrode tip. The discharge electrode is located colinearly with a grounded electrode tip spaced by a spark gap. The grounded electrode tip is also configured to be easily removed from the electrode assembly for replacement when degraded.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2003Date of Patent: February 1, 2005Assignee: HealthTronics Surgical Services, Inc.Inventors: Robert A. White, Jeff T. McCain, David M. Loch

Patent number: 6273055Abstract: A combustion engine comprised of (i) at least one compression stage, (ii) at least one combustion unit, and (iii) at least one expansion stage is described. The compression and expansion stages include tongue and groove cylindrical rotors in sealing relation to one another for fluid volume displacement and transfer of rotational force from expansion of compressed fluid volumes following combustion. Related methods of providing a rotational force to a drive shaft are also described.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2000Date of Patent: August 14, 2001Inventor: Robert A. White

Patent number: 5244338Abstract: A gravity-steered grapple is created by retrofiting the boom plate of an excavator which has a longitudinally rotatable boom. The grapple includes a freely-turning, swivel joint with an axis of rotation which is offset from the center of the grapple jaws so that the center of mass of the load is likewise offset. By manipulating the angle of the boom plate with existing operator controls, the load can be steered about the swivel joint controllably through a horizontal 360-degree angle. The grapple also includes a jaw safety clamp which is movable between lock and release positions. The clamp is self-actuating and is moved into the lock position when an extension of the clamp contacts the load as the grapple is raised. The grapple is particularly useful in lifting and placing modular highway barriers.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 1992Date of Patent: September 14, 1993Inventor: Robert A. White

Patent number: 5003162Abstract: A heater assembly includes heating element for generating heat to warm a space to be heated. A heat sensor is provided sensing the temperature within the radiant heater assembly for automatically disabling the heater elements upon exposure of the sensor to temperature in excess of a predetermined threshold temperature. A tip-over switch is provided for disabling the heater elements in resonse to predetermined tilting movement of the radiant heater assembly relative to a normal upright position. Alert indicators are provided for indicating disablement of the heater elements upon actuation of either the heat sensor or tip-over switch.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 1990Date of Patent: March 26, 1991Assignee: Arvin Industries, Inc.Inventors: Donald L. Townsend, Robert A. White

Patent number: 4967441Abstract: A standard toilet bowl brush, having a wire loop frame, sometimes lying in a slightly curved plane, supporting encompassing bristles, and with an elongated handle, is converted, temporarily, into a steel wool brush by an adaptor spider which embraces the larger dimension of the brush and projects a forwardly and upwardly canted lance upon which a steel wool or other harsh scrub pad is impaled to enable under-the-rim scrub action where hard deposits build up and discolor from water deposits.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 1989Date of Patent: November 6, 1990Inventor: Robert A. Patent number: 4755653Abstract: A radiant heater assembly is provided that includes heating element for generating heat radiantly to warm a space to be heated. The heater assembly includes a sensor for sensing temperature within the radiant heater assembly. An overheat control unit is provided for automatically disabling the heater elements upon exposure of the sensor to temperature in excess of a predetermined threshold temperature. Alert indicators are provided for indicating disablement of the heater elements upon actuation of the overheat control unit. A tip-over switch is provided for activating the alert indicators independent of actuation of the overheat control unit in response to predetermined tilting movement of the radiant heater assembly relative to a normal upright position.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 1987Date of Patent: July 5, 1988Assignee: Arvin Industries, Inc.Inventors: Donald L. Patent number: 4438503Abstract: The invention facilitates the calibration of VOR equipment by synthesis of series of waveforms representative of different positions in azimuth.Digital data representative of a frequency modulated component of the VOR waveform is stored in a first memory area (1) and digital data representative of an added sine wave component of the waveform is stored in a second memory area (2). By appropriate cyclic data retrieval from the memory areas and combination of the data (7) together with digital to analogue conversion (8) and filtering (10) the VOR waveform corresponding to a particular azimuth may be synthesized.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 1981Date of Patent: March 20, 1984Assignee: The Secretary of State for Industry in Her Britannic Majesty's Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern IrelandInventors: Robert A. Patent number: 4040103Abstract: A system for compensating for shock force induced movement of a flying magnetic head which is positioned juxtaposed a rotating magnetic device. A chassis for supporting a rotating magnetic device and a flying head is mounted on shock absorbers to attenuate and delay externally imposed shock forces. An accelerometer is mounted on a fixed base of the system and receives the undelayed shock force and provides an output signal indicative of the magnitude and direction of the shock force being applied to the system. The undelayed output signal on the accelerometer is applied to transducer means which move the flying head away from or toward the magnetic device in anticipation of the shock force disturbing the gap between the flying head and the rotating magnetic device.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 1976Date of Patent: August 2, 1977Assignee: Sperry Rand CorporationInventor: Robert A.
