Abstract: The feeders for forming portions of the product, the product supply reservoir and the valves which switch the connection of the feeders between the reservoir and the feed nozzles located on the feeding and packaging carousel are separate from the carousel itself and are mounted in any position in which they can be easily inspected, and the feeders are connected to the nozzles by means of the fixed part of at least one rotary joint disposed coaxially on the carousel. This joint is characterized by high reliability in operation, is designed to facilitate washing and sterilization of all the circuits through which the product flows, and if necessary can be easily dismantled for inspection of the various components.

Abstract: A device seals an open end of monodose containers, which have already been filled with liquid or viscous solutions without need to trim the sealed ends, comprising grippers with jaws approximately shaped like a comb. In a first version, the jaws have square prongs counter opposed when the gripper is closed and a comb-shaped head inserted between the prongs of the jaws prevents formation of irregular edges at the ends which would otherwise require trimming. In a second version, one of the jaws has prongs which insert into corresponding recesses in the other jaw, while a flat-faced head closes the prongs of the gripper to prevent formation of irregular upper edges.

Abstract: The method provides for weighing, in a first weighing station the tare of a container, filling, in a supply station, such container with products, particularly liquid and/or gelatinous, or corrosive, or sticky products, or abrasive suspensions, etc., again weighing, in a second weighing station, the filled container, processing data coming from said weighing stations and data concerning the pressure and temperature of the products supplied, in order to determine a time of supply required for filling a subsequent container with a rated net weight of products within predetermined tolerances.

Abstract: A filling machine for small containers comprises a main hopper which feeds powder to a secondary hopper located above a rotatable dosing head provided with chambers for receiving the powder from the secondary hopper and discharging the powder into individual containers successively displaced below this head. Between the secondary hopper and the rotating head is provided a yieldable intermediate body having a curved surface confronting the curved surface of the head and an opening adapted to communicate between the chamber of the head and the secondary hopper. One of these surfaces is formed with a pair of grooves on each side of the opening and between each pair of grooves with a recess to which compressed air is admitted with the air being discharged through ports in the grooves so that a hermetic seal is provided between the recesses. Pins can space the intermediate body form the head when compressed air is not supplied to the seal.
