  • Patent number: 6696520
Abstract: An elastomeric thermoplastic polyolefin composition comprising (i) an heterophasic olefin polymer composition comprising a crystalline propylene homopolymer of copolymer fraction and an elastomeric ethylene copolymer fraction and (ii) an elastomeric polymer having a hardness equal to or less than 90 points selected from the group consisting of copolymers of ethylene, ethylene-methyl acrylate copolyers, saturated or unsaturated styrene block copolymers and unsaturated norbornene polymers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 14, 1998
Date of Patent: February 24, 2004
    Assignee: Basell Poliolefine Italia S.p.A.
Inventors: Giampaolo Pellegatti, Vittorio Braga, Roberto Bonari
  • Patent number: 6448335
Abstract: Mixtures of C2-C10 olefin polymers functionalized with carboxylic acids which are neutralized from 1 to 100% with metallic ions The mixtures comprise (by weight): (1) 100 parts of a heterophasic polyolefin composition comprising crystalline polypropylene and an elastomeric fraction of an ethylene/propylene or superior ethylene/&agr;-olefin copolymer where the ethylene content is less than 40%; and (II) 0-250 parts of an elastomeric polymer selected from: a) ethylene/C3-C10 &agr;-olefin copolymers containing at least 20% of a C3-C10 &agr;-olefin; b) ethylene/methyl acrylate copolymers containing from 15 to 30% of recurrent units of methyl acrylate, and having a MFR ranging from 1 to 10 g/10 min; and c) polyisobutylenes; d) atactic propylene homopolymers and amorphous ethylene/C3-C10 &agr;-olefins copolymers produced with metallocenic catalysts; and e) styrene block copolymers containing butadiene and isoprene as comonomer.

  • Patent number: 5540497
Abstract: An apparatus for injection molding of non-precatalyzed resins. Catalyst and resin flows are injected into a mixing chamber through a pair of catalyst injection nozzles and a pair of resin injection nozzles, each angled toward the ejectment end of the mixing chamber. The resin injection nozzles are located closer to the ejectment end of the mixing chamber than the catalyst injection nozzles. The injection nozzles are arranged substantially 90.degree. from one another with the resin injection nozzles opposed from each other and the catalyst injection nozzles opposed from each other.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 15, 1995
Date of Patent: July 30, 1996
Assignee: Centro Sviluppo Settori Impiego S.R.L.
Inventors: Antonio Addeo, Francesco D'Oria, Roberto Bonari
  • Patent number: 5512232
Abstract: A device for moulding articles of composite material includes a pressurizable gasket and an injection head the end of which is flush with the impression of the mould. After low-pressure filling the mould impression with jets of resin and catalyst so oriented as to secure the mutual mixing thereof, the pressurizable gasket allows the half-moulds to be further approached to each other and obtaining thereby the impregnation of the reinforcer element previously charged into the mould impression.

    Filed: October 14, 1994
Date of Patent: April 30, 1996
Assignee: Centro Sviluppo Settori Impiego S.r.l.
Inventors: Antonio Addeo, Roberto Bonari, Aurelio Biscotti
  • Patent number: 5445781
Abstract: An improved method for injection molding of non-precatalyzed resins in which the catalyst and resin flows are injected in a mixing chamber co-current with one another angled toward the ejectment end of the mixing chamber, The resin flow is injected closer to the ejectment end of the mixing chamber than is the catalyst flow.
    Type: Grant

Assignee: Centro Sviluppo Settori Impiego S.r.l.
Inventors: Antonio Addeo, Francesco D'Oria, Roberto Bonari
  • Patent number: 5342463
Abstract: A process for fabricating manufactured articles from fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic sheets, which consists of forming said plates while they are heated at their melting point and coupled with a barrier film, by either blow-moulding or thermoforming.
