Abstract: In a vacuum-die casting machine comprising a casting mold having stationary and movable mold halves defining therebetween a mold cavity, a casting chamber which is in communication with the mold cavity and includes a piston and an evacuation arrangement connectable to the casting chamber for drawing melt from a melt storage into the casting chamber, a control arrangement is provided for controlling the mold cavity pressure depending on the pressure difference between the mold cavity and a cavity pressure and a counter pressure of the metal melt.

Abstract: An apparatus for checking die castings, comprising: elements for extracting and moving a die casting from a die casting machine, elements for the analysis of the integrity of an extracted die casting and of its geometric and dimensional precision, elements for the thermal mapping of the extracted die casting, an electronic unit for digitizing the data and the parameters acquired by the integrity and geometric and dimensional precision analysis elements and by the thermal mapping elements, and for comparing the acquired data and parameters with corresponding reference design data.

Abstract: A control system for an engine adapted to operate either with gasoline injection or with methane or LPG injection, comprises a main electronic control unit (3) for controlling the gasoline injectors (1) and the ignition system (5) and an auxiliary electronic control unit (6) for controlling the mode of operation of the engine and the methane or LPG injectors (2). The auxiliary control unit (6) is further adapted to modify signals (9) representative of the angular position of the engine shaft which are to be sent to the main electronic control unit (3) in order to obtain an ignition adapted to the mode of operation with methane or LPG.
